Welcome to the forum. Its about time we had someone on here with some husky names.. Im sure we must me runnin out by now LOL
-
Welcome to the site, Im sure you'll enjoy it on here. We have plenty of information, members with a wealth of good knowledge and on top of that, we like to think of ourselves as a site for husky owners that enjoy there animals rather than the husky version of the RSPCA like most forums around ... I'm sure you'll enjoy your time on here
-
Welcome to Husky Owners. Enjoy your stay on the forums and look forward to chattin with you around the site.
-
Welcome to Husky Owners. Hope you enjoy your time on here the same as the rest of us ... Beware however we are very additive LOL
-
Im thinking now more along the lines of a chatroom off of the site. I would provide a link for people to download the software needed and some instruction on how to set it up (very easy) .. This way it would not particularly be on the site and not take the emphisis away from the forum itself. Besides, this forum is gettin busier on an almost daily basis

I have voted yes purely from a technical point of view as the shoutbox is very server intensive.

Laminate or wooden flooring. If your not after spending a fortune on getting it done and want it to look good then look at the aqualock in B&Q ... I can personally say its good stuff, and as the name suggests, its water resistant which is always a good thing with things like waterbowls, occassional accidents and on top of everything else the amount that things need mopping with huskies being outside and getting muddy
-
Its a social networking site, however it is based on professional networking. It does get used for networking of other types though, including stuff like this
-
Does anyone on here use Linkedin? If so I would like to add you to my network so we can try to build a network of husky owners on their in an effort to build our husky contacts.

BEfore anyone thinks this is a strange link to post. Someone got me a calender for my desk that has a link a day on it to visit, so I thought I would post them up here on a daily basis

http://www.langmaker.com/calculatorwords.htm
For years, bored math students have been wise to the trick of punching numbers into their calculators , which, when turned upside down, spelled words like "sell" (7735) of "google" (376006). Even if you're not a math wiz, you can still learn to write in "Ooblgshezi," the name of this language, by mastering its alphabet and studying the word list reproduced at this site.
Enjoy

Simple question really I guess. When do you prefer to walk your dog. I dont mean just in the morning ot, at night but what kind of temperature do you prefer to walk in. Personally I'd preferably like to walk in dry and warm temps constantly. In fact if I lived it that kind of climate I probably wouldnt have time to post LOL. I hate the cold and miserable weather, however I know some people would rather walk when its cold.

As for my age - I have no idea how you know how old I am? It's not information that (from what I can tell) is on my profile or something I have shared publically here. I don't care that people know how old I am (I am in my 20s for those who are wondering) but I do take umbridge to having information that is private being shared publically without my permission.
Unless you were just taking a wild guess?
Since I am admin I can see all public and private profile fields, so yes I did know how old you were however didnt look to see if you had specified for it to be private. This said however I didnt specify your age in my post, simply that you didnt have as much life experience as Richards wife had dog handling experience. If I was not a member of admin, then this much woudl still be evedent as you have posted both pictures and videos of yourself around the forum and therefore the fact that you are in your 20's was publically shared by yourself.
Come on, I'm allowed to have an opinion too Anyways, stop bloody arguein woman ... Im in a good mood LOL Besides you should be happy I think you look like your in your twenties
-
No no dont take it like that ... It just seemed like you were making assumptions about Richard thats all. I actually enjoy reading a lot of your posts as they are always detailed and informative.
I would not dispute that you could provide me with articles backing up your opinion, however Im sure there wil also be artucles with the oposing opinion. As you said yourself all of these things will only work when used correctly and in my opinion this would also apply to the halti. People have mentioned on this thread about the dog 'wanting' to do things, when I it contradicts the fact that you must be the alpha part of your part in order to correctly issue a command to your dog. In my opinion this kind of training no matter what the tool used is just the same, its not the want for the owner, its the doing as its instructed by the pack leader.

One thing I would say smeagle is that on reading what you have put it would seem that you automatically assume people are doing things with a lack of knowledge and know less than yourself. As you can see from Richards post above his wife more experience than your entire life.
