She wasn't sick, well, she was, but not because she was UNWELL, that's really clear isn't it lol she was regurgitating her food for the puppies, gross !! But apparently some dogs do. It's how wild dogs/wolves etc wean their young, they eat, partially digest their food to soften it, then throw it up for the pups. She's done this a few times and it always ends up with me being the bad guy and literally taking the food out of their mouths I wouldn't worry so much but she's raw Fed so she's bringing up bits of bone !

Can I add something ? The day ended differently, as at 1115, freyja decided to share her late supper of raw chicken with the (sleeping) pups by running into the front room and throwing up on one of them, my poor unlucky puppy ! AGAIN ! Cue me fighting for bits of chicken, baths and carpet cleaning GRRRR !!!

Poor you, hope it feels better soon, all dentists are warped sadists to me, there's something wrong with people who smile that much when drilling into someone's head !!! Our day started a little earlier than usual, puppies all up at 0430, by 0515 freyja decided that as we were awake it must be breakfast time ! By 0730 I'd had a text from a prospective puppy owner to say they had thought about it and decided a husky is to big for them ! After that the day just went downhill lol I'm so sick of timewasters who just want to play with puppies ! Lol forgot to say it was Brett who got up to make breakfast, and its his birthday !!!!!

Lol so did I, visions of rope and ... never mind, there are young uns on here !

This may sound silly, but I'm treating the puppies the same way I would treat a group of kids, two argue, let them until it gets nasty verbally, physical or another kid joins in. It's the only way I can do it. Lol years of chaperoning school trips, brownies, scouts etc have given me the ability to zero in on any brewing fight within 50 feet, usually before the teacher clocks it which annoyed me no end.

Jase you are a star thank you so much, it sounds like I'm doing it right !. It has set my mind at ease a bit because freyja isn't really stepping in at all, I think that might have something to do with the fact that even though they are getting solid food, everytime she stands still the puppies surround her like piranhas around an injured cow !

Should have known better but I asked two and got two exactly opposite answers, but neither raised huskys so ...... hohum

Husky play rough, I know this, I guess I never appreciated how rough or how early it starts. I know pups will fight, but sometimes they really hurt each other, at the moment I'm breaking it up, but is that the right thing to do ? Should I just let them fight it out ? Freyja has never stepped in to stop it, and trust me I've waited. Am I doing more harm than good, wrecking the whole infant socialization thing by interfering, or am I right that rough play is one thing, three on one something else !

So you weren't on HO at all during your journey lol. Really glad your first morning has gone well, hope it just gets better and better. What you need to do now is persuade the senior partners the firm needs three huskys as mascots, and they need to come to work with you, and they need a special playroom, and you need extra breaks to look after them. And as mascots they should be paid in treats and toys ! If that works, let me know as I have a pretty bridge here in London they can buy lol

Lol so bad their good ! Heard the world's worst pick up lines earlier Roses are red, violets are blue I have a gun so get in the van Sniff this, does it smell like chloroform ? What's worrying, I heard these at the dinner table from my kids !!!!

A few pics of the pups They are each developing their own personality now, lucky and spot love nothing more than to sit and cuddle, red and blue (both girls!) love to scrap and will take on the bigger ones without even thinking about it. Our grey is a howler, and willing to bark at bear, as long as his back is turned. Bear and baby

Lol the Hoover only came out for a very brief visit (brief for husky owners anyway) As for the puppies, they are nearly 5 weeks and into everything, Bear has basically retreated to the front door or the balcony, both puppy free areas, and freyja has given up feeding them, (mostly) ten little sets of teeth and claws play havoc with her undercarriage. I will put up some pics later as it's walkies in the rain time

I decided no housework today. I decided to take a day off for my birthday, of course, with 2 kids, 2 dogs and ten puppies that lasted about half an hour, but I have the rest of the day and the new SIMS 4 game to go.

Are you absolutely, 100%, certain there's nothing in the run that could have caught her ? Huskys tend to shove paws and faces in some strange places. You said it's only since they went into the run.
