  1. Hoping someone has some ideas here, I'm looking for a 3 bedroom place to rent for a week or two that has a husky proof garden and won't cost me a fortune. I've trailed through homeaway, slogged through the supposedly dog friendly rentals on the web. Most are happy to accept one dog or two small dogs, lol or they say enclosed dog safe garden when it's a 3ft high picket fence (?). Any ideas welcome here guys
  2. LOL I can almost picture it, but it keep wavering into oliver twist saying please sir can I have some more
  3. So what did you use ...... bribery, a crate or lots of snarls and shouting MINE
  4. Going to show my ignorance here, what's a hump day ?
  5. I just had a whole jam doughnut........ BY MYSELF ! (Ok, I cheated and gave the pups a ribbie each as a bribe, but I REALLY wanted my doughnut
  6. I would say go for it, although perhaps you could ask if you could start a little easier. As its not just live spiders that bother you perhaps you could start with pictures and work your way up to a real one. I totally sympathize, before I had kids I was terrified of spiders, jump across the room, scream the whole bit. As my kids got older I decided I didn't want them scared as well so I grit my teeth and smiled and pretended they were fun little things (!$@#&@$) it took a while ( ok a looong while lol) but a few years later we actually bought our first tarantula, it's strange, I was still nervous of the little ones, but the big ones didn't bother me at all. We ended up with a grand total of 32, I handled most of them, lol NO ONE handled golly, our goliath bird eating spider, he was HUGE ! , Anyway, I think this is something you need to do for you, it will change your life, no more opening a newspaper or magazine and feeling your heart stutter, no more being frozen with fear at a shape on the wall. Go for it !
  7. Steak and chips for us tonight, very boring !
  8. Pictures like this make me laugh, they disprove the theory of survival of the fittest ! If it IS true how on earth did they get to be adults ?
  9. AMAZON IS AMAZING ! Ordered a new cable at silly O clock this morning and for £7.95 ITS HERE arrived at 8.40pm and sky back and working by nine. I love Amazon yay yay yay
  10. LOL and I used to think mine was expensive ! I get all the sky channels, incl movies and sports and Disney ( not sure why we still have that, my youngest is 16 !) For about £65 a month, I do get a deal on my internet I know, £13.50 a month.
  11. I will turn her into furry slippers, I swear I will, she's chewed through the ruddy sky cable !
  12. Awww nearly as cute as a puppy ! Well done to the princess and her human family,
  13. At the moment we're using a basic red dingo click puppy collar, but debating whether to move on to a half check or a harness for our girl Freyja. She's nearly 15 weeks and a fair size ( she's a mally lol) and I'm wondering what age would be best for both ?. Bear has a half check and it has helped a lot, but the OH prefers the idea of a harness for his baby !
  14. As long as the dogs are at the bottom of the pack you should be ok. My two are still young so we're a work in progress but apart from the obvious ( eating doorways etc) it's silly things for us, like not snatching food but waiting nicely until it's offered. Not jumping on the sofa until your asked up, you'll figure out most of it as you go along.
  15. I love my big freezer !Lol I can fit two whole people in if I push. I feed both my furbabies raw and yes it was confusing to start but once you get into a routine it's not so bad. I get some meat from my local butcher, and some from pets at home, they love the beef chunks and tripe, although I will say watch out for the tripe smell, it's a bit, no I cannot tell a lie it's horrendous, but they love it.
  16. Mine was fine with my tree, but REALLY interested in my nans, confusing until I noticed she had little chocolate Santa's hanging from it lol. So my tip is don't put choccys/candy canes in on or near the tree.
  17. Taste test lol, and it depends on the sort of beetles and worms, you can buy them all online, I got the OH some a couple of years go as a gag along with chocolate scorpions. (He always said he could eat anything !)
  18. We still need petrol ! My furbabies are too little yet lol. Here's a thought, if your huskys pulled your car, (and you'd removed the engine) would you still need to pay road tax and the congestion charge ? Those are calculated on engine size, no engine no charge ?
  19. Maybe we should have a thread for exchanges ? There must be stuff that's hard to find in the states or down under that we could easily get in England, and vice versa. Anyone know how to tag a mod to suggest it ?
  20. I watched it the other night, freaked me the he'll out ! I say everytime I'm not going to watch stuff like that again, and then I do ! Makes me want to stock up on bottled water and check the stores I have. Is it a little sad to admit I already have certain bits put by, and a plan to run if the situation requires it. I'm better than I was lol, after I had the kids I stocked enough food for a fortnight plus my other bits. Although I would never tell anyone around here, my first port of call would be the gun shop up the rd then as far as we can get !
  21. Emma, have you thought about getting in touch with the experts ? Not the Drs, but what about the stroke association ? I know there is one, my mate works for them. I can't do much at half past midnight, but could give her a call tomorrow, there might be a helpline or advisor in your area. Just let me know honey it's not a problem. ( she still owes me a couple of dozen favours lol)
