This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but I really wish people would read all the comments before they post and give advice. Twenty people saying the same thing over and over, when it's already been explained it doesn't work is not helpful !

I've got two dogs, and before we got the first I did extensive research on the breed, read books, articles, etc etc..... And still it hit me like a hammer, huskys are not normal dogs !! None of the books told me that, no one warned me !. They are stubborn, determined, cantankerous fur machines, and I wouldn't change mine for all the world. As for the food allergies, have you thought about raw feeding ? My boy was a hypermaniac on dry food, almost constant zoomies, never settling, I joined this forum, got some advice and switched to raw and the change was drastic, literally 3 days and he calmed down (well, calmed down to normal husky levels !) it might be worth discussing with your vet

He looks fine to me, I'm no expert but my boy was about the same size at that age, he just kept getting bigger and bigger lol, it's hard to tell with Bear as he's got a very long coat but Codys looks more normal, from what you say he sounds very healthy, well done you !

OK, Need some honest opinions here, I've been playing around with the whole Christmas husky idea for a while, and I know I TELL killer kids stories, I'm not sure about writing them, so, waste of time or should I have a go ? Is this a story you would read to your kids ?

I'm a sucker so they had one yesterday, a 4ft long ragger that's already wrecked ! That's going back to the shop on Saturday, I know they are tough on toys but the ropes like 2 inches thick .. I could pull a boat with it and yet it doesn't last 24 hours ? Oh also got the Nina otterson tornado, they figured it out way to fast but will keep making it harder it kept them quiet for a good 30 minutes so gift for them was also gift for us !

If you look on the other side of the coin ..I almost envy you Liv, no Turkey feast to worry about, no moaning relatives (I have one I can post you if you miss that !) No panicking when some idiot decides Christmas day is a perfect day to visit, no squabbling over what to watch on the Tele, Instead you get to spend the day relaxing watching what you want, eating popcorn, etc ARGHH ! Can I come stay with you ?

That's a great start, I know it's hard when your trying to recover yourself, but I saw a phrase the other day .... They're your dog. Your their world. As humans we have other things in our lives, jobs, bills, families, but for them, they have us... that's it, sure someone else can feed them and walk them, but it's not the same. Pa! Don't you know anything, huskies don't pull the sleigh, they guard the workshop and the elf village, keeping the elves safe from the perils of the north pole. They have done since Santa made his first toy. When ever a litter of huskys are born, Santa sends out an elf to see if any of them have the spark of magic that makes them a Christmas husky, if they do, they go and live at the north pole, and spend their lives playing in the snow and protecting their elf familys, if they don't the elf choses a special human family for each and every puppy, the perfect forever home.

As long as the voice doesn't tell me to start setting fires it's all good lol and if the dogs are having steak what time should I be round for dinner ?

I was in the butchers yesterday, got a really, really good deal on chickens for the dogs, and the butcher asked me if I was getting a turkey for the dogs for Christmas, I WAS going to say no, I was, but he offered me a 7 1/2 lb bird for a fiver, he encouraged me and the bad voice in my head agreed and the next thing I knew I was lugging it home. Please, someone else tell me their dogs get a special Christmas dinner, Or am I just a saddo with spoilt dogs ????

Picked up my mum's prescription from the Drs and just happened to go past the pet shop, found a HUGE ragger (4ft !) And caved to the little voice in my head that gives me bad advice, (it also told me to buy honey snouts bad voice! baaad ) braved the supermarket for a birthday cake (my mum, boxing day) hung around in the chemist for half an hour waiting for meds, then round to hers, then home. Still got to do dinner, walk the dogs, soap presents and pick up a load of Christmas craps from my nans !

Take something noisy to eat for you, our two can be in full on ignore mode until you pick up a crisp packet ! (Crisps/potato chips no idea what you call them lol)
