Husky are pack animals, just the same as wolves, every wolf would fight to protect their family, their pack, huskys are the same. You are his pack, your home is pack territory, of course he will protect it, and you. You would fight for your dog's, you can't expect them to do any less for you, they love you.

That's brilliant to hear Mark, baby steps, yeah, but in the right direction. I'm just going to throw this into the mix, what does she eat ? Bear is just over 9 months and he's fairly big, (63lbs at last weigh in) and he was a right git when we were out, pulling, mouthing, jumping. Then, after reading on her about raw diets I changed him over and the difference is stunning, instead of pulling constantly now it's only with reason ( pidgeon ! Cat ! Mum I need a tree ! ) he only jumps t certain people now and the mouthing is a good 80% less. Yes it could be he's simply growing up and the training is starting to kick in, but such a drastic change in a month ? It might help jazz as well, there are some threads here, have a read

I give bear all sorts, he really loves the little chicken wings, he crunches them up like sweets ! I could bring some for both of them next time we meet up

Bears fast asleep as well lol. It was really nice to meet you both, even with bear falling in the lake and you finding a pike ! I still think it's funny how protective she was of him, like Fay Wray protecting king Kong ! Those are lovely pictures, I didn't even realise you took them, can't wait till we can do it again ( although I will print out a map of the heath first )
