No idea to be honest, should we get a female or a male, at the moment this is all up in the air and very very hypothetical, if we get another male older than bear we could have dominance issues a female might be easier. As I said this is very much a first thought, it took months to go from should we to actually getting bear he could well be a full grown adult before we get another one !

Didn't think I would even consider this but here I am asking the question. Is it better/harder/easier with a second dog ? Bear is 8 months now and although he is a PITA I can't imagine life without him, my other half raised the question of perhaps we should get a second husky as Bear is behaving and will now `go` outdoors etc. I'm not so sure, I mean when I had my kids I went by the rule of if I'm wiping one sticky mouth I can wipe two just as easily. Is a second dog half the work and twice the fun or do they encourage each other to be naughty ? Advice tips warnings screams of don't do it anything appreciated

We used frozen tea towels, seemed to really help, I managed to keep one baby tooth the rest disappeared down the black hole that is Bear !

Thanks all, made me feel a little better when I took him out yesterday and he started jumping in puddles, and yes I admit it, after I was wet through I jumped with him

Is this normal for husky or is my dog just an idiot ? He was sprawled outside earlier in the sun, the sun goes in , it starts to rain - heavily , and instead of coming in he stretches out and closes his eyes !. I had to go out and pull him in and get soaked myself, seriously is this normal or should I be a little concerned ?

i think my weights must be a little off, just done the calculations and they estimate bear will be 30 kilos full grown, i just had him weighed at the vets and he's 27.85 kilos now, he's nearly 8 months. Is he overweight or just big for his age ?

I answer to most things including oiy, babe and the ever popular Muuummmm !!!!

we tried that, seems to be the spot not he paper with him, more than about 6 inches and he just ignores the paper, trust my pup to be different lol. Ive even tried using used paper outside but he just plays with it

ok heres the problem, bear is now 7 months old and still wont pee/poo outside, we put paper down when he first arrived and he was really good about using it, but will not go anywhere else. no matter when or how long were out he holds on until we are through the door, then he can pee for england, any adviceadvice ? tips ? ideas ? getting a little desperate here. ( i will say even if we've been out ages he still goes on his paper )

Hello all, my name is sarah and i am owned by a now 7 month old husky we call bear, not a common name for a pup i know but at our first meeting all his fur was sticking up and he looked more like a bear cub and the name stuck. when i figure out how i will put up some photos, i think we are about to experience our first shed as there is suddenly alot more fur flying, wish us luck !
