  1. First of all, what a cutie, almost the cutest puppy ever lol. It's a bit hard to tell his size with nothing as a comparison, what's his weight ? Some puppies are bigger, some smaller, even within the same litter. We had 10, and at six and a half weeks our biggest pup was 10.9, our tiny one was only 8.6, same parents same food, etc, just different pups, can you put up a picture of him next to something we all know the size of ?
  2. Even after reading the question, and all Adams answers, it still looks like Russian code for the Muppet song !
  3. Our girl had her first (and only ) litter at the beginning of September, she had 10, which was quite a shock. This is your first sibe delivery, have you done another breed ? Because for me, it was a totally new experience and scared the life out of me. As you can see she was fairly big lol. The best thing I can say at this stage is its messy, very, very messy, start collecting old towels now. Do you know the date of conception, that way you can work out her due date. If you want any more information about my girl, feel free to ask, either on here or by PM, good luck!
  4. GARDEN SHED ! I'm serious, gifty for him, he can tinker all he likes and gifty for you, your house becomes tinker free! Added bonus, future presents can be stuff to turn shed into man cave.

    Crazy Faces!

I swear they were playing... And yes, there is a little person under there ! I have no idea
  6. Sounds like a great idea, we took bear to puppy classes .... until he was asked to leave .... Apparently he was so big the other puppies were scared and not learning !
  7. We use the flexi giant as well, far less painful than a cord if it gets wrapped around a leg or hand, or another husky !
  8. If I really want to freak them out, I make giant ice cubes (I use a plastic pot, flora etc) tip in a tin of sardines in oil, top up with water and freeze. They LOVE them, will sit and gnaw at them for however long it takes. They cool down and I get a bit of peace
  9. It's a bit messy but have you thought about a paddling pool ? When it's really hot here I fill it up and throw in some ice cubes, my two will chase them around, eat them, lie on them.
  10. Hmmm, we seem to have very different nicknames in our house, bear is regularly referred to as big hairy butt, freyja varies between Frey-Frey, princess (not my name for her !Lol) and noisy. Can't believe you have the two little ones nearly toilet trained, well done you Just thought of one you forgot, uncle grumps !
  11. I'm not sure how things work down under, but here there are people who can help. Have they given you an idea of recovery time ? To and from the hospital... can they help to arrange something ? Is there a patient liaison service you can contact. Is there a friend's of ....... who could help. Your son, does he go to nursery yet, could they extend his hours ? If not, is there someone he could have a holiday with ? Do you have local friends who could help out ? No one can just drop their lives, but most people could find an hour or two to help out with shopping etc. Most important thing is to make your place easy now. Stairs will be a nightmare, can you stay on one level, going up and down stairs on your bum with a little one IS possible, but bloody hard work. Rearrange the kitchen so you can reach the things you use alot. Will you have crutches or a stick, if so, buy a cheap pack of kids stickers, your little one can help to decorate it, and make it a fun thing. Contact family and child services, if you are going to be disabled by this for a while, they may be able to help with a carer. Are there and kids you know well and trust to be in your house, not to babysit, but as a helper. If your laid up a youngster who can make a bottle or a cup of tea will be a godsend
  12. Lol my OH used to have a collection, I agreed to ONE, ONE ! Somehow we ended up with 32. Everything from a chilli rose to a goliath bird eater. And yes we did lose a couple, but we also found them again (although Houdini was AWOL somewhere in the house for 3 days, we found him at the bottom of the stairs minus a leg !)
  13. Mine love tinned sardines in sunflower oil, would eat it 3 times a day if I let them, they get the occasional raw egg as well. It does seem to make a difference
  14. We went to Florida a few years ago, gave Disney a miss but did something different. We went to discovery cove, possibly the nicest place on the planet. We brought a package deal, one day at the cove and swim with dolphins, and it gave us unlimited access to sea world, aquatica and Busch gardens all for about £150 each. More than worth it, IMO to stand in water and watch rays swim around your legs is amazing, actually better than the dolphins if I'm honest
  15. Love war of world's ! Didn't even know it was on at the O2 !
  16. Lol might be better with the sitter ! Love the picture, although I'm pretty sure it's not Christmas yet ( somebody's spoilt !)
  17. So you have a dog sitter that already knows and loves your dog's, with a big garden ? Who's a family friend ? Book your tickets now ! Sounds like leaving them with her would be like leaving them with family, so why not.
  18. Thank you Kati, for the reassuring phone call, I can't remember if I actually said it. I knew he would be fine with you, but it helped. The photos lovely, that's the best way to see puppies, knackered and asleep lol.
  19. I confess ! I did it, dragged my butt to Sainsbury at midnight, waited an hour, got caught in a near riot but got a 32 inch HD led tv with freebies for £89, a bargain and well worth the 1 hour wait.
  20. I wasn't sure where I should put this, sunshine or steam. Or even if I wanted to put it anywhere. Many years ago (1979) a family friend went missing. He was only 15, and simply vanished. There were dozens of rumours that he had been taken abroad, all sorts, anyway, he's back in the news, now they (the police) think he could have been taken by a VIP paedophile ring and murdered back then. I feel so angry for his family, his dad died never knowing what happened. I wonder if he will ever be able to rest. Perhaps I should be grateful that it's being investigated again, that perhaps this time they will find him.
  21. Lol sometimes he gets the T-shirt, sometimes bear steals it, still. For everybody else, when I first offered the T-shirt to lucky, the big ones came for a sniff, freyja started whining and pacing, I think she could smell howler, bear simply decided it belonged to him, and stole it, again, and again, and again
  22. Poor boy, how is he apart from the limp ? Pee, poo etc. Hope he's better soon xx
