  1. It could be worse, at least you have a chance to avoid going in. Make sure you get lots of doggy kisses and TLC, let's hope your next go on the adoption merry go round goes a little smoother !
  2. Forgive yourself for what exactly ? For trying to give izzy the home she needs ? For trying to stop two dogs fighting ? I don't see anything there that needs forgiveness. It might not have been sensible to get in the middle, but would any of us done it differently, I know I've done it. All you need to do now is take care of you and your family. Izzy is back with her foster family, she will be fine. Don't blame yourself !

    Ooo Ooo!

    That one's older than I am !
  4. Well done ice ! That's a huge breakthrough, as you said, once is enough lol
  5. Awww I want one that behaves like that !
  6. Much discussion in our house, he likes cruise, I like lenny ! And we both agree we shouldn't look at pictures of puppies
  7. We had this about a year ago, different marks showed different things. It was never on the police website but I chat to our local beat copper and he dropped me a warning. (Nothing to do with me really, he loves the Bear lol) don't know what the x means, apparently different groups use different codes. Definitely lock up well, is you alarm monitored or linked to your phone ?
  8. As they have already met, I don't think it will be a problem, as far as they are concerned, it's a friend coming to visit, who happens to stay over. Noah and Bella are used to Asher coming over, and howlers little, he will follow their lead. Let's hope all goes well with the cat ! And izzy will join the family.
  9. Vet reckons it's a severe hotspot caused by a reaction to the Fox poo. Maybe he had a cut or scratch, it got under the skin, and here we are. He's had his bath, meds and enough peanut butter and treats to choke a hog and is now comfy next to me having TLC
  10. I don't think this will be healing up anytime soon. My poor boy, can't believe how fast it spread !!
  11. Oh Goddess !! What was a small patch last night has spread half way round his neck !. It's truly horrible. The vet just kept shaving and shaving and the more he did the more damage we could see. He looks like one of those warning photo's the RSPCA put out. I want to cry I feel so guilty, I should have pushed to get him seen, but.... anyway he's got antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, medicated shampoo a painkilling jab and hibiscrub. And even after an hour of being muzzled and clipped he still wanted love from the temp vet.(ours is in Miami !) He's a star, a half shaved star, but still a star.
  12. My heart bleeds for you, and for sasha, yes your family has changed for now, but it's not forever. Timber is just on the other side of the bridge, waiting, doing all the things he's ever wanted, all the things you (and the vet) have ever said no to. From eating the slab of freshly cooked steak on the counter to running for hours without even seeing a fence to digging to China it's all there for him, until you get there too.
  13. They don't last long ! My girl had ten and they ran out of room pretty fast, our extra large puppy pen now holds their water and toys !
  14. I have to wonder, Friday night Bear rolled in Fox poo, most of it around side of his face/neck, right where he's sore now. Bathed him immediately, HAD to !. Bathed him again on Saturday with special shampoo as ordinary stuff just did not get rid of the smell. 48 hours later he's sore, I guess I should have put it together before.
  15. It's hard to keep the hairy monster clean, as much as I love his thick fur, right now I wish it was short like freyjas. Hate to think what he will look like after.
  16. Well done rogue, and that tar like stuff she's leaking, normal unless it's pouring out, expect it when she pees, poos, jumps, etc. Freyjas lasted a couple of weeks.
  17. Ok, so last night I was brushing bear and there was some sticky stuff behind his ear, I parted the fur and it smelt a bit and looked a little sore so I cleaned it with warm water and hibiscrub, had another look this morning, gooey again and he wasn't as happy to be messed about with but I cleaned it anyway (with promises of peanut butter to follow) did some research, figured it was a hotspot and went out to buy baby scissors to trim him with. Gooey again and really not interested in being touched there, even growled a little. We're seeing the vet Tom, just wondering if there's anything I can do tonight to make it feel a bit better. He's not scratching at it so I don't think it's particularly itchy. Any advice or ideas more than welcome.
  18. If you kind of put your body along the top, one leg will fit between the dogs, the other prop up against the wall, sorted. Or just give in and sleep on the sofa, if your allowed on the sofa lol
  19. She is rockin the style boat with that vest, all it needs is a little bling lol. Glad your girls back where she belongs, even if she does look a little dopey still. Might sound silly bit would a dose of bitch spray help ? That way he won't be so interested and she won't have to tell him to bugger off !
  20. Hahaha never mind Bear, Freyja LOST 10 kilos when she gave birth ! That's two thirds of diamond !
  21. He looks so lonely and sad !!! Poor boy, glad Bindi is doing well though, lots of treats and hugs tonight. Give her a hug from us.
  22. No, as much as Mark fell in love with him, (first pup he picked up lol) I just think there's another husky in your hearts, eventually you'll find it.
