  1. Yes, we are now in spring. This is the first husky we've owned and she's now 6 months old so i'm just making sure this is normal or it has happened before.
  2. So, Sapphire has what it looks like to me as a cold. She has the runny nose and the build up of gunk in her eyes everytime she sleeps. Is there anyway we can get it out of her or do you think it's safer taking the beautiful girl to the vet?
  3. Thanks everyone (: As for it being to early to be teething. Thats what the man in the rspca shop had confirmed. Shes been good this morning she is now in our bed, relaxing. First time ever.
  4. Sapphire is now nine weeks old, and is teething. Every morning my partner will place her on our bed and she will run at me and start biting me, not hard all the time but sometimes she will draw blood, she bites the remote, phones, clothes actually anything she can get a hold of. She has plenty of toys with different textures and will play and bite them but she just likes everything shes not supposed to bite better. Any ideas of some good teething toys which will keep her interested for a lot longer.
  5. My mum has two gsd which are very well behaved. Ive grown up around them as we got them whilst they were pups 1. Our two shed fur but as im owning my first husky i dont know how much she sheds yet. Ill get back to you on that one. 2. Barking.. well we live on acerage and when theyre outside they will bark at anything, its a good habit though cause then we know something is out there. 3. At the moment our 2 are getting a bit older and so far no health problems! 4. My mum and dad dont walk our two any more living on acerage they run around all day everyday! Seems to be more than enough exercise. 5. We have a pure bred and a gs x husky and they both get along with eachother and other dogs no problem at all. meet Ashleigh and Mya
  6. We fed her some scrambled eggs last night with her kibble and her poo has hardened a bit. Yay (: so proud of my girl she slept 8 hours last night with only one howl at 3am.
  7. Of course Andy. I've read all about exercise already!
  8. LOL with a husky. . .that'll never happen. It's possible that the breeder gave you kibble that either wasn't very good, the change of location and water etc. or too much different food. We joined the forum over 3 years ago with exactly the same question / Problem. We already had Echo (White GSD) and introduced Daughtry, then six months later rescued Darwin. Huskies are so different to any other dog we've had. A great challenge, but a great joy too. Dont tell me that.. haha shes a great pup. Day two and shes settled in well (: just need to sort this runny bum out and everything will be magic. I cant wait until shes big enough for me to take her on my morning 10km run
  9. Haha one of my parents german shepards are crossed with a husky shes a great dog. But i understand were you are coming from i learn something new every moment of owning sapphire
  10. Thanks Andy; i'll take that all into consideration. I was just worried at first new pup, new home, new owners and new environment just want it to run smoothly (:
  11. Thanks guys, you've eased my stress a little. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Shes doing plenty of that (: she chomps down her dinner and drinks more water than i do.
  13. The breeder gave us a bag of the food which she has been eating and we've been feeding her that. Im worried now if its not gone in a few days i think a trip to the vets is in call. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Me on the right! Duck lips! Haha Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
