  1. Tim's dad is our landlord and the first main rule we broke was NO DOGS!
  2. Khaleesi gets randomly scared of people for reasons we can't fathom out...We joked she was racist after she was scared of a bunch of Asian kids but I think it was the one guys MASSIVE afro...She loves my brother's Bengali girlfriend.lol She's also wary of collies after being bitten by one, but generally she loves big dogs, the bigger and fluffier the better. Her arch enemy is the toilet brush...x
  3. Some people don't deserve to have animals. Poor thing was upset by being left for two hours in a reasonably new home, and why was she left on her own somewhere where she could cause thousands in damage?! I wouldn't give Khaleesi up if she trashed all my treasured possesions, from the second I met her and knew she was mine. This is a prime example of someone not doing their homework and working out if the breed is for them, just going on pure looks. And the animal shelter have a lot to answer for too...Grrr x
  4. I'm guessing you've decided on a collie now but if you do change your mind just check that some of those breeds can be insured. Also a lot of places won't let you take certain breeds (eg.the akita) which is a shame cos I know some horrible dogs that aren't excluded and some lovely dogs that would be.x
  5. Khaleesi sometimes goes on command, we're still getting there with toilet training! If you left her chained up outside and watched her, could you wait til she goes and then give her loads of praise? You'd only need to do it a couple of times surely? Good luck x
  6. I would just get some frontline from the vets anyway to be honest. Don't get stuff from the pet shop as its mostly crap. If it stops the itching the easiest way to get rid of the fleas in the house are to make him go in those areas so they jump on him and the frontline will kill them. You should be using it once every three months as a general rule anyway although if you take him out a lot then once every 6 weeks. Good luck
  7. You defo handled it better than when Khaleesi got attacked, my boyfriend had to boot the other dog (his brother's dog) to get her off Khaleesi. One day she is going to bite the wrong dog or person and get put to sleep but he doesn't care. We had a situation with a pitbull cross on my estate and through Facebook and the local paper, everyone took to the streets (minus dogs as it wasn't safe for them) and they found the owner and I believe they were prosecuted. Glad your situation was resolved well. X
  8. Read the puppy listener by Jan fennell. I have the same problem but it's a lot better now, in our case it's cos I'm the mug who will play fetch for 45mins at a time!x
  9. Khaleesi likes to be up high and snuggle your face, everyone keeps saying she won't be able to when she's big but we like it so don't care, but she can get really funny if you want to cuddle when she doesn't. On a sad note I've just found out I'm allergic to dogs not that that will stop the cuddles.x
  10. I gave it raw yesterday and it honked. You're right it's worse coming out! X
  11. It smells of death, I'm pretty good with disgusting things but it really stinks x
  12. Oh gross there's a big lump of it on my carpet that she's snuck out of her crate...x
  13. I know I'm new but I'm trying to not be one of those people. I'm hoping that I'll be able to share my knowledge with people too. I've definitely found my breed, they're much more fun than golden retrievers!
  14. I think (although I may be wrong) that it is for working dogs that are likely to catch them and end up hurting themselves. I look at Khaleesi's though and they are so flimsy, she's always catching them, on my tights, my favourite knitwear, my face
  15. Oh no I didn't think you were being an arse! I agree that it's annoying if you don't know how someone is getting on, in my job I tend to see people every 4 or 6 weeks so I have over a month of wondering how they're getting on with whatever problems they've been dealing with or how that party I did their hair for was! You lot have made me realise that I am a responsible pet owner and I need to stick to my guns it's a totally different breed to other dogs and I have to trust that I am the expert compared to Joe public. Xx
  16. Ouch! Poor thing...I'm sure he'll do something to sort it out. Do your pet insurance have a 24hr helpine you could call to put your mind at rest? I'm with M&S and they do. Hope he's ok x

haha, I always just say that I hope she's huge...why would we have huskies if we were worried about how big they would be?! Aw it's great, I love Wellesbourne. Got a lovely "genuine" Mulberry bag and purse for a tenner each!x
