  1. Thanks for the advice folks, all very helpful. We wont be leaving alone on that many occasions but helpful to get the feedback from everybody. Thank you. lol x
  2. Another thing, if we go for a female is it better to get them neutered. Well, either male or female infact? lol x
  3. Thank you all again, extremely helpful to have you out there with this wonderful information. I have another question, obviously huskies are bred to be in a cooler climate but how do they fair in warm weather, I am wondering if the coat also keeps them cool? Lol x
  4. Hello again, Further questioning, hope this does'nt sound like its interrogation but, information is so important!!! We are interested in re homing a husk, as previously mentioned, a husky thats obviously been used to being with another family etc, From your experiences, do huskies fit into a new house easily and just move on? I am assuming they do but any experiences of this would be just great.
  5. Thanks everybody again, its all very helpful. I am hoping to find a husky thats approx a year old or a bit older but not alot, probably not a puppy on this occasion as we are looking to rehome rather than breeder buy. Thanks again
  6. Right then I am understanding the fact they have to be kept on a lead. How much walking in general would a husky need to keep it satisfied, i.e. how many miles, how many times a day etc etc. Thanking you
  7. Thanks for that, I tend to be a dry feeder anyway, but some folk mention raw and I really don't fancy that idea to be honest plus its not really practical in my opinion. Another question, Is is possible to let the husky off its lead I just find it hard to not let them run on say a nice stretch of beach etc. Thanks again in advance.
  8. We have a few concerns in our husky search. We intend to spend as much of our time with our husky but there are bound to be times when we need to leave the dog on its own. l) Is it possible to leave a husky at home ever? 2) Would they be okay to leave at all after a long walk? 3) Do most huskies travel okay in a car? 4) Feeding, some say raw, some say dry, a bit concerned there as we would be happier feeding dry as want to be able to take our dog away on holiday . Maybe raw treats? Any advice would be welcome. x
  9. Well, I am just smiling, I find the response from everyone is just fantastic and I feel right at home already (even though we have'nt got our husky yet) I am checking out the rescue centres and registering to get things in action. Thank you, thank you thank you x
  10. Hello there, thank you for your reply. If I am picking up the correct information, Luna is your puppy I presume and wondered where you got her from? regards
  11. Caught key! and to say, we dont mind travelling, we want to learn as much as we can so are willing to make the effort. lol Merry meet, Merry part and merry meet again!
  12. Thank you for the warm welcome Val and everyone else too, love to know there are like minded people. lol
  13. okey dokey, will check them out further then. Thanks again all x
  14. Thank you again everybody The last request for today, we are happy to drive out, but would love to visit anyone with huskies, or can you tell me the location of the Husky adoption people so that we can perhaps go to them to view? Thanking you all again, and again and again. xx.
