Please delete/move this guys if it's in the wrong place..
Just wondered if anyone was available for tomorrow to do an emergency transport run for a Husky girl.. she needs to come into foster and is looking for transport from WOKING to KENT
Fully appreciate this is extremely short notice but this is the last leg of the journey and really hope to be able to move her tomorrow..
If you are able to help, please contact Kathryn Shuttleworth on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=505559768&ref=ts
THANKYOU GUYS xx
Just wanted to bump this to say that any orders placed for these through the H-O forum directly will allow me to donate 50p from each sale towards the forum itself.. orders placed anywhere else will not count towards the H-O donations.. so if you are interested please message directly on here )
(Hope it's ok to mention this here.. just wanted to let you know as these will also be for sale shortly on my FB shop and website raising funds for other causes)
BLAME ME for the note thing :redface2:.. when I use paypal for anything I can always put a note it.. but it looks like the donate doesn't allow it.. SOooooooo if you join the facebook page for Diz's walk there's a note on there about keeping the donations up to date
We are getting Neo insured.. and moreso for the fact that if he was to somehow damage someones property.. or someone - I don't think i'd have the huge amount of money to cover the liability etc.. regarding healthcare the insurance we are getting is only to cover £1000 a year but is for life - so if he were to get diabetes etc.. every year that £1000 is renewed even for the same illnes..
IF I was any good at saving I would possibly have looked at that route, but the whole legal liability thing swayed me..
I am so sorry to hear the situation you are in and the news on Loki.. but I would be extremely concerned about the way the guys you adopted from have treated you.. by offering you a credit note it is no different to taking a game back to a shop because it doesn't work or a dress back because it doesn't fit..
If someone offered me a credit note for a dog i'd have rescued i'd be half inclined to offer them a piece of my mind in return.. and a note explaining that the way they are running the rescue will be taken up with your local welfare officers..
How dare they treat dogs like a commodity.. they are supposed to be rescuing them..
I really hope that everything goes well with Loki and that he pulls through.. huge hugs hun Xx
Hmmm think i'd have turned round and said.. well pay that trainer to be your friend.. because if someone had pinned my dog to the floor without a damn good reason (that was not) i'd have pinned them to the floor !!
PS I must be evil.. my dog has treats of banana etc.. and YOGHURT - so sue me..
Sorry to hear you didn't receive an email reply hun, although the rescue is very busy at the moment with a fair few dogs in and more coming in all the time.
I have an email address you could send it to if you would like as it is one specific for fundraising
fundraising@huskiesinneed.org.uk
If you address the email to Yvonne, she is our fundraising co-ordinator and would love to hear from you.
Hugs
Nikki xx
Basically the reason these breeds get it every time is their size.. and pits and rotties because of their bite pressure..
I don't believe the UK has official statistics.. but this is a good site to read http://www.dogbiteclaims.co.uk/dangerous-breeds.html
Especially THIS section
The top ten least aggressive dogs:
Labrador Retriever
Rhodesian Ridgeback
Poodle
Greyhound
Whippet
Brittany Spaniel
Siberian Husky
Golden Retriever
Havanese
Portuguese water dog
These dogs also rated low for “watchdog†behaviour and “territorial defence†behaviour so they tend to make lovable family pets.
Every breed CAN be dangerous and it's about time people started to realise that - especially the specific breed slaters like the Rotties etc..
We will never live in a world where people blame the deed and not the breed.. it's the same with the human race unfortunately.
