  1. Beautiful! I want to reach into the pictures and snuggle her!!! Welcome to the pack!!!
  2. He looks like such a happy fun loving boy! Welcome!
  3. Al, Haha! I don't like the Pekingese! I'm stubborn enough for a husky! ;-)
  4. Thank you everyone! I feel so very welcomed!!!
  5. Welcome! I only joined yesterday and everyone has been so helpful and friendly! Hunter is super cute!
  6. Thank you everyone! I'm so excited to be here! Looking forward to getting to know you all!
  7. You might want to do some research on dog harnesses. There was a story run on Good Morning America recently, the story stated that many dog harnesses sold in pet stores could not hold up in a simulated car crash. The results of some of the harnesses were devastating! They did have a few that did their job though! Good luck!
  8. Stephanie, Thank you! I think he is a handsome man, but I think I might be slightly biased! . I'm so glad to meet all of these husky owners!!!
  9. Al, Hahaha! Actually, I was home sick with a nasty stomach bug that day so my husband made me a bed on the sofa! Kilo was very concerned about me and kept me in sight all day, plus he was very mellow...he knew I was on deaths door. Heehee!

  11. Hello everyone, I would just like to say I'm so very happy that I found you! As a first time Husky owner I am looking forward to learning from all of you! Kilo is our 2 year old male husky. He was adopted from a shelter, come to find out he had been through 2 homes before ours. It has been 2 months now since we brought him home! He is adjusting so well and I love that he looks at us as his family now, we had some convincing to do, but finally won him over!
  12. Al, Thank you for your honesty. Kilo will turn 2 May 9th. This is my first Husky and I'm trying really hard to do everything I can to learn, so I appreciate all the feed back. Kilo is very much a love bug, stubborn at times but we have come leaps and bounds since we brought him home. I can't imagine our life without him. I'm having trouble fixing his potting in the crate and house, and would be having the same frustration if it was any other dog breed. I am proud of my home, and I also love my dog.
  13. He loves spending time in the Living room and that is where he spends most of his time, buy am hesitant to put the crate in there because it is carpeted. We did just put him in the crate, how would you crate train him from scratch? He had already been through 2 homes so he has history we don't know about which makes it hard. He has gotten so much better (with dominance issues-he now knows we are the boss) but this issue is driving me crazy. We just remodeled our home and everything is new, so I feel like it is being ruined! I love him to pieces and am trying to figure it out. I appreciate your help.
  14. We did try to leave the radio on for him for awhile, but it wasn't helping so we stopped. If it is deportation anxiety how do we fix that?
  15. He won't even go towards the room where the crate is I'm the morning because he doesn't want to go in the crate. He goes outside before being in the crate and I don't see how he would have anything left in him to pee or poop because he does allot outside. I'm just so frustrated, I will try to put his food in there, and maybe crate him dir awhile will we are with him tonight...
