  1. Was just called and asked if my Ayasha had gotten out as there was a post on FB about a found B&W husky that is a spit for her, got more info and the dog is IP2 area, so have given a link to this thread and asked them to message to see if the same dog
  2. Nooks when I got him was a very excited pup, he'd run up and say hello to every dog adult and child he met after a while though once he reached about a year old he calmed right down, now he's happier off doing his own thing. Growling wise he's only every growled twice at a human and he got told for both times, other dogs very rare unless its a staffy as he's been attacked way too many times by them. Ayasha on the other hand as a pup used to growl and snarl at me whenever I went to pick her up, now she's pretty calm until its playtime with her sister Amazingly with fireworks night both were so laid back I had to check if they were still breathing lol after the initial looking out the window to watch the ones the neighbours set off they settled and went to sleep, nooks on the bed and Ayasha in her cage.
  3. Brands will be different out here but the vet said any type as long as it was a kids one and to give them 1 spoon 3 times a day. probs best to check with vets in Vegas first as it might be made different in the US as opposed to UK. Personally in meantime I'd go with a homemade Honey and Lemon mix for the cough.
  4. defo be a good idea to get the vaccs, but even if your dog is vaccinated its a good rule of thumb to not rely on it and play it safe by keeping your dogs away from affected areas. Sometimes vaccinations are not a certainty of protection against the illness, sometimes they can still catch it but the symptoms are drastically lessened. Parvo can last extremely long times without a host and can be passed with frightening ease without dog to dog or dog to dog waste contact. A story a vet told myself before, a local breeder had a litter of pups come down with the parvo virus. There'd been no outbreak of Parvo in their area and the dogs hadn't been out, only in their garden. what had actually happened was that one person that had come to view the pups had unknowingly tracked the virus into the house on their clothing and passed it on to all the dogs.
  5. Nooks and Ayasha got kennel cough earlier this year and for the cough the vet actually suggested a small spoon of kiddies cough syrup to help ease it, either that or try some honey and lemon
  6. Nooks and Ayasha ride on the backseats clipped in with one of these each. Though when its just me and the dogs Nooks prefers to ride up front with me.
  7. Some of the jokes coming out are a bit Fowl.
  8. LOL you can't blame the dad because the son wanted to get laid, and so was showing off
  9. You wait until monday. theres gonna be a lot of jokes at poor Rics expense about cock chasing lol
  10. First one wasn't even my dog. A friend of my mothers came round with a lab and at the time I was pretty scared of dogs, I usually got attacked by them a lot, so it got down on its belly and crawled over to me and then rolled on it's back to get a fuss. His owner had never seen him do it before. but him doing that got me past my fear and well I now have dogs myself. 2nd time is just after I got Nooks I hit a very low patch and for no reason burst into tears. He got up, came over to me and gentley jumped up and put a paw on each shoulder and then gave me a hug. needless to say I soon cheered up.
  11. Both Nooks and Ayasha love his squeaky ball. When Nooks is playing with it he howls every few seconds.
  12. Her name is Ayasha LoL, They are amazing pics Sid. help with all the excellent subject matter lol Yeah Nix Summer had to be rehomed because of all her dog aggression. To give an idea if I took her to Felixstowe every dog we went near she'd attack. Last time we took her it was 15 dogs in the space of 2 - 3 hours, including a Leonberger, Doberman and Rottie, that don't include the staffies, jacks, spaniels and westies I just didn't have the experience to help her out of it. Nooks lost 5 kilo's in weight and was getting extremely depressed. As soon as she went to her new home he perked up and has started to put on weight again. I'm keeping in touch with the guy that took her in and she's doing a hell of a lot better now and he's started getting her out of attacking other dogs. Made sure she went to a very loving home and one with experience with dogs with aggression
  13. OH yeah these 2 sit next to me giving me the look at 5:30 am and 4pm for their walks, if I don't get up quick enough they are waiting by the door. the at 7 am and 7 pm they get up and do the same for their food. It's the same times everyday.
  14. Well done Grey. Wish I could get summer to do that. Walked through Felixstowe yesterday and she tried to attack at least 15 different dogs.
  15. I think the JRT attacked the two Huskies or Malamutes and the retaliated and she jumped in hands first to pick her dog up in the middle of the fight. Thats based on my experience with Jack Russells and their owners. Sorry to anyone here who has a little yappy as well. But more often than not with this sort of thing the smaller dog starts a fight it can't handle and get torn a new a** and the small dogs owner says its the bigger dogs fault, that they attacked for no reason but it wasn't their poor litle foo foo to blame for the whole fracas.
