  1. We can give you some warning points if you'd like
  2. Sometimes the dogs will pick up on YOUR anxiety about the impending meeting of dogs Which may make them worried and so by accident you cause them to kick off.
  3. Everyone has that :-)
  4. Pretty much any dog with the name Shepherd i.e. German Shepherd. Will have originally been used for Sheep Herding. and so yes is a sheepdog.
  5. Oh, that poor dog. Don't blame yourself. It's like human allergies. Until you eat / drink etc that particular thing for the first time you don't know you are allergic to it. Now you know don't buy that product.
  6. I can just picture it. Tiny, little, minute chihuahua with enormous attitude and Jos in full riot gear armoured like a bomb disposal expert and a bowl of food.
  7. Hi, Lauretta Yes you can just turn up on the day. we usually have planned activities for each day, Beach Walks, scooter running, trips to the market etc however that all depends on the weather. So things can change at a moments notice. I'm sure we can furnish you with a mobile phone number so you can check whats happenning on that day. It'll be great to have you and your pooches along.
  8. So we run a new competition. . . . Your best High Quality photo of your Husky. (preferably taken with a digital camera and not a Phone camera) Then run a poll and the top 12 are the ones used. For the competition the photos will probably need to be downsized for the forum software to accept them. Then the Winners will email Jos with the FULL resolution images for the creating of the Calendar
  9. Darwin hates when I hoover or brush the floor, he just goes outside even if it's raining. Daughtry doesn't mind the hoover but will wait outside the room until I'm finished. and Echo. . . . well she just lies down directly where I need to hoover.
  10. Lovely pic Jos. . . We had a thunderstorm a couple of hours ago, went really dark
  11. I've only ever used Hot dogs cut up into tiny chunks as training treats. The smell gets their attention especially for loose leash training. However I have never given my dogs Human food as food for them to eat as their main meals. They get kibble and tinned meat with boiled rice and every couple of days RAW chicken wings in place of the Kibble and tinned meat.
  12. Most of you will have heard me tell of when we first met Echo our White GSD She was exactly the same. We simply went in ignored her barking. Sat in her kennel just as you do Talking and staying low That's the important thing about greeting a scared dog, stay low Being above a scared dog is a threat to them. When she came over to sniff, hands were out but flat on the ground for her to sniff. It took 6 weeks of this before we could take her out for a walk. before she would trust us enough to stand and pet her. Now she's my devoted girly. Although most of you that have met her have been greeted by teeth. I think you may have to dig yourself a tunnel to get low enough for this chihuahua though Jos
  13. Sounds like he's progressing well. Good luck with the test tomorrow
  14. Well if it doesn't run properly. Get a bikejoring kit and put the pooches to work
  15. Yeah, it does look like the "Hilton" that Marc and Saz had Plenty of room for you and the Dawgs
  16. Echo is simple she just wants another ball throw. . Daughtry will sit and "Blah, Blah, I want one. . . or maybe it's I'm Batman" No idea what she wants though. . . Darwin makes "herm" noises then woooooooooooos at me, he usually wants walkies.
  17. Usually chewing of tails is a sign of stress. add to that the grass eating and vomiting It would suggest to me that she's not feeling well. and is trying to work it out herself with the grass eating / purging. However from her point of view it's not working and so she is getting stressed and tail chewing If she continues over the weekend take her to the vet for a check up.
  18. It's as good as anything in the charts today.
