    Kalamity :)

Big enough for her. . . . NOT big enough for him
  2. What's a defurberator.??? Even a google search leads to a you tube video of a husky howling ???
  3. Sounds like everything you've had before was JUST normal Husky shedding. However seems like he's into his first proper BLOW. What you described "it coming out in Clumps" is exactly what happens. tufty bits sticking up, you can grab handfuls of undercoat, and when you brush him it just never stops.. You have this now for at least a month Start making pillows, and. . . . Oh, yeah it happens every SIX months.
  4. Some bisto's gravy, an Oxo and a dash of pepper and Eden-willow would be very nom
  5. Thanks for the feedback. Always good to get a balanced view
  6. Lets hope their optimism is well founded. The next person he approaches may not have a 'Dexter' to deter him.
  7. Could be this is a richer food. Back off the amounts by half and see if Eskie firms up. If he does gradually increase the amount until you notice his stools getting softer, reduce the amount again by a bit and you should have the right amount to feed him. If you think that he's not getting enough food Try adding boiled white rice (cooled down) there is very little nutritional value but helps them feel fuller.
  8. Have a look in the Food and Diet section. There are a ton of fantastic articles by our own Sid_Wolf on RAW feeding what types and how much.
  9. Good boy Dexter. Did you inform the police of this mans actions ?
  10. Welcome to the pack Well done on rescuing Blu and Maya
  11. Yes she's old enough for chicken wings. She'll probably only need one or two per meal though until she gets older. also see this thread too.
  12. As others have said. Keep up the NILIF. He's testing his boundaries and seeing if he can push your buttons.
  13. Happy Birthday Little Charlie

    Bad times

Maybe make another trip up to see them. Re-establish contact. It could be a simple set of circumstances. Perhaps He's changed all his providers but didn't think to contact you.
  15. $7000 OUCH !!!!! Litigeous America. . . WOW !!
  16. Great info Al' Both articles are well worth the read. Not too surprised by the findings though. I think we all may agree on a general rule of thumb. If the dog or animal needs medical attention, then we go to the Vets If we as an owner need advice on day to day care and nutrional advice of a specific type or breed of animal then go to experienced owners of that breed or type of animal.
  17. Well done anyway, just completing it was brilliant enough and a big shout out to Chris. Doesn't he always come through in the end
  18. Hey, Dave have a look at this. . . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadkill_cuisine
  19. Awesome Well done Did you do it in the 24hrs ??
  20. St Great suggestion Al' Stole this from a BARF (Bones and RAW Food) article. Combining a raw diet with kibble is a hard combination for pets to digest. This is because the digestive time frame of each diet is different. As such, you confuse the pancreas when generating the right combination of digestive enzymes. This often results in gastrointestinal upset (mainly diarrhea and vomiting) And as Al' points out that RAW bones are fine for dogs because they crunch across the width of the bones and digest well. However COOKED Chicken bones SPLINTER lengthways creating sharp long splinters that can become lodged and pierce the intestinal tracts Causing all manner of problems. Usually resulting in a very expensive trip to the Vets possibly involving surgery to get them removed. So . . . . . DO NOT give your dogs the carcass from your Sunday roast. DO NOT give your dogs the bones from your KFC
