    New Adventures

No advice but have a great time
  3. At this age she is just starting to realise he is actually independent from you and can do and discover things on her own. and. . . . Like human kids when they get there they think they are all knowing and invincible. They are full of energy and curiosity a deadly combination.
  4. Darwin is just finishing , and I think Daughtry is just about to start
  5. Of course it gets better. In a year or two
  6. Like the others have said she needs time to settle in. If she seems to be nervous or aggressive. Approach her from low down, sit on the floor and let her come to you. Try not to touch her from above or behind until she has accepted you. Also, make sure you keep your windows shut and she's away from the outside doors when you open them. The first few weeks they will still feel like they want to go "home" and may make every effort to get out. Well done on rescuing her, good luck
  7. Ah, Thanks. We have several members who walk on Formby beach, which is close to you. Ooooh, Hobnobbing with Royalty Sarah, is Owner co-creator of Husky-Owners. And Linda and Val are SuperModeraters.
  8. Glad to have you with us. Apparently there are several "Newtons" in the UK Which one are you ?? Then we can help with meets
  9. Good luck. My guys are pretty good at doing their "bizzyness" outside. The dogflap is a godsend. Haven't had any "accident" since we put it in. When we first moved here, Daughtry had a few, but that was S.A. Being in a new house etc. . . . my stair carpets are ok Well just need a good hoovering . . . lol.
  10. Thanks still getting used to it So easy to sweep with the Hairdressers broom and then a quick almost dry mop. and I've noticed that with the carpet gone so has most of the "doggy smell"
  11. Daughtry has been on them since she was about 12 weeks old All my guys get them a couple of times per week. Good protein and calcium and helps keep their poo solid too

    Loyalty

Erm, I wouldn't say that It's taken Echo and Darwin 3 years to settle down and stop fighting. Mostly Echo instigating it. Both are rescues, and Echo certainly came to us with a lot of issues. But now. . . Good buddies who play 18 Months ago this photo wouldn't have been possible. No way would they have snuggled up together on the sofa or This them playing in the garden
  13. Yeah, living in a husky house is like living in an old abandoned Wild west town. . . . Tumbleweeds everywhere you go. . .

    Loyalty

Huskies are notorious for not being loyal. Don't get me wrong it's not that they don't love you or want to be with you. But they love humans and will happily go off with anyone. My White German Shepherd Echo on the other hand, will fight tooth and nail to be by my side. It's a breed thing.

    Shadows Ears!

My guys don't mind me fussing with their ears too much. But they prefer "Nuggins" rubbing with knuckles against their cheeks and temples
