there are lots of times when I have to keep mine penned up. answering the front door. Putting the wheelie bin out, etc. They have to get used to the idea that there are times when they cannot be with you even though you are in the house. If he whines ignore him till he stops, then praise him.

Finished Abaddons gate (expanse book III (good trilogy)) and have just started Boneshaker a Steampunk Novel by Cherie Priest (never read anything of hers, but it won some awards. So thought Why not give it a go )

Yep Vets. While I love my dogs, If they were in pain and there was nothing the vet could do. and it had got to the point of them snapping at young children and causing damage them I would consider the option of having them PTS. I would hate to think that it was my own vanity and selfishness that was putting them through what was left of their life in pain and misery.

They see the opportunity to make a bid for freedom. However the big wide world is a scary place full of bad things, just waiting to happen. They never become "streetwise" Hopefully she'll remember and be less inclined to leg it out the door when it's open.
