yeah, we started out with normal child Stairgates. Then upgraded to the Bettacare Petgate nearly 12" taller. One on the Kitchen and another in the downstairs hallway so we can keep the front door secluded.

He might have had Mal in him several generations back Which would account for the extra size, but he looks far more Husky than Mal Malaki and Bear, for comparison. and the original image if you wanna see just how big they can get.

They don't splinter EVERY time. Most of the time they will break down normally and pass through causing no problems. However because they can and do occasionally splinter is why we advocate not feeding cooked bones. You're quite right to worry, but chances are they'll break down like uncooked bones and pass through giving him nice solid poo

LOL Back to the Topic Sarah (Sarahjng. . . not Saz) Do you have a decent photo of Bears head from the front on. Your avatar pic of him as a puppy shows displaced ears as if he's part Malamute but puppy pics aren't reliable. If he is part Mal that would explain the extra poundage.
