I've been there, we had several pooches fall through before we got Darwin. Almost identical in fact we'd been on the forum for about 4 months, Daughtry was still a pup of about 5 months. When we decided to rehome another. Took us a month of Finding and losing before we got Darwin. Like you it worked out in the end. One more and you'll be sorted.

Most dogs don't like the smell of alcohol on peoples breath. If she was holding his head trying to get a "kiss" He smells the breath and tries to pull away not liking the smell. She holds his head tighter determined to get a kiss. (because she's drunk and stupid) he growls and tries pulling away harder. and so the story unfolds.

She's only 5 months old, she will still want to come back to you. When she gets to 8+ months then she will begin to assert her independence. Unless you are in a FULLY secure area, please don't trust her. She's a husky. And please not in a field next to sheep.
