  1. That's good news, glad you're not hurting now. Walks should be happy times for Humans and dawgies
  2. Daughtry goes really light when she blows
  3. Ours walk nicely on leads and collars. I hold all 3 leads i one hand connected together with climbing carabiners. see pics and this is me in 2010 when we were in the process of loose lead training but using Halti's for extra control in the snow. You can see how they are connected.
  4. Welcome. Well done for rescuing and looking after poor Hagen.
  5. Where I used to live it was practically like playing hopscotch, there was so much. Where we are now everyone is brilliant. It's very rare I see any here.
  6. Oh, lol. My entire garden is a mud pit. my 3 chasing each other up and down, Sliding, skidding and dodging churning the grass into a quagmire. the fence line is just the start of the muddy domination.
  7. LOL and Odins not a small weak little chap. I'm surprised dave doesn't have to sit on him to hold him still.

    Hi!

Welcome to the best Husky forum in the WORLD !! If hudson is nipping and mouthing you just pull your hand away with a loud "Ouch" He'll soon learn that it's not good to pinch. If he mouths your hand gently without nipping praise him Anything else, ask away. We have people like yourself first time owner, to people who have had generations of huskies. No shortage of experience.
  10. they change sooooo fast. Pretty girl.
  11. LOL yeah Daughtry was about 5 months old. It was a big walk for her. she's an old girl now nearly 3 1/2
  12. LOL that's why she won "Most talkative dog" award at our first meet with you guys at Heaton park back in 2010
  13. Echo our GSD will bark loud if anyone comes up to the house. Darwin and Daughtry will look out the window, but stay quiet.
  14. Muzzle. It's harsh but once he realises that you are not hurting him then you can take it off. but if you are likely to be nipped then Muzzle. you need to brush him to help with the blow.
  15. We rehomed Darwin from a couple who lived in a flat in london. however he was alone most of the day with no toilet breaks. They did the very best they could. But Huskies are dogs that need to be walked approx 6 miles per day. Not necessarily all at once but several walks per day. They pull like crazy at first until you can get them loose lead trained (and that can take months) Things to consider. will your partner be able to do multiple walks with a baby in stroller and a dog that pulls everywhich way. Howling, some huskies are quiet all the time, others like to talk a lot loudly others howl (especially if they are left alone) Will your neighbours complain. ??
  16. Everything here paws n fingers crossed for ya
  17. LOL and because of your Manc' accent no-one can understand that you are in fact speaking english.
  18. Big smile, firm handshake. Look them in the eye. It's not necessarily the person with the best qualifications. It's the person that they remember.
