Didn't you know the beds ARE for the dogs. The dogs simply keep the SOFA warm for you during the day so it's nice and cozy for you to sleep on at night. . . . . and They thoughtfully cover it with fur for extra insulation.

Which is understandable, given the breed / prey drive problems. If a husky is brought up from a pup with cats then it's usually fine, although neighbours cats can still be seen as prey. However bringing an adult dog in then your cats will most likely be seen as fast moving furry food.

Rescue rather than buy. Due to the popularity of the breed many, many people bought husky pups Then discovered just how difficult a breed they can be. As a result the rescue organisations are overwhelmed with Huskies waiting to be given a good home. Not necessarily because they are problem dogs but that the original owners went "Oh, they are so gorgeous. . . . I'm getting one" and didn't do even the most basic research about the breed before getting one.

Most people wait until they are at least 12 months but some vets will do it as long as they are a minimum of 6 months
