  1. yeah defrosted is great, or even frozen, especially in summer. They have to work harder at them but they love the coolness.
  2. You know those big builders rubble bags. sort of thing you get a ton of gravel delivered in. We have one of those packed with (almost) everything we need for camp. When the time comes, get it out of the garage (where it lives between camps) haul it outside empty it out and take an inventory. replenish anything that needs it and Pack it all back in and throw it in the back of the estate. go to camp. Job done.
  3. Yep it's gonna be the biggest one yet. . . EPIC !!!
  4. Aaaaannnd when they are fully grown you can give them whole pigs trotters. watch them get chompy on those. great source of calcium and if they get the runs dries them up overnight.
  5. No chicken wings are fine the bones are far smaller and even a puppy can crunch through those.
  6. was this it ??? http://www.husky-owners.com/forum/threads/how-to-put-on-weight-safely.27184/
  7. LOL I think the Wolf like dogs outside your tent will give it away. Also they tend to put us all together, so we'll figure out you're with us.
  8. Chicken wings would be better for a puppy that age the bones are easier to break with their teeth. Thigh bones might be too much then if they swallow the big bone whole could get stuck and cause problems. I wold cut it up into smaller chunks first. You'll probably need a hacksaw or a large pair of pliers. bit messy but better safe than sorry.
  9. seriously it winds me up too. We have a road that HGV's park on overnight before delivering to the factory and other places nearby. Aaaaand the amount of times I've seen these foreign driver peeing and cracking a dump in the bushes. worse than dogs. Aaaand they throw crap out of their cabs so the dogs get munchy on it and get the runs. Aaaaaaaaand they clean out their cabs and throw all the rubbish in the bushes. RRRRAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH !!!!!!
  10. Awww they're just decorating the tree. Like Xmas decorations . . . but with Poo.
  11. Talk to a grief councillor. Talk to your parish priest (as you are Catholic) Both can help in different ways. I've lost my step Dad and my Sister in the last 6 months. You don't stop missing them but your day to day life has to go on. Your family needs you. Gradually it gets easier simply because you are continuing onward with your day to day routine.
  12. Yep I've had them usually from eating something too hot temperature wise, and. . . too Spicy like a REALLY hot vindaloo.

    Nappy bags

Yep been championing the use of nappy bags for a couple of years. cheap and they open a LOT easier than 'proper' poo bags. When you have to LICK your fingers to open the bag you are going to scoop up poo with is NOT a good idea. ESPECIALLY when you have 3 dogs and you are picking up multiple piles. tescos nappy bags open very easily without the need for 'moistening'. 16p for 100 we buy 1000 at a time. We also throw bags at those inconsiderate lumpheads who do not pick up their mutts deposits.

    All 3 Escaped!!!!

Well done. Wish I'd had a team of trackers out looking for my 2. An open door is just waaaaaay too much temptation for ANY Husky no matter how well trained or how much recall they have. Our problem as Husky owners is, OTHER PEOPLE. They don't realise the problem that leaving a door slightly open whilst they "nip out to the car" can cause.
  15. What else are you feeding him with at the same time ??
  16. One of our Members had a Husky / Akita cross called Duke He was absolutely adorable with the most fantastic mask and markings. Unfortunately he passed away at a young age. But he was a stunner.
  17. Ours "Wolf" rice down like there is no tomorrow.

    Internet Trolls

When we got our first white GSD "Bear" (RIP big boy) we joined a couple of GSD forums and it took several days before we got an answer to our Intro post. Then more days before we got a reply to our first questions. aaaaand when they discovered that Bear was a white we were treated with open disgust that we would have such an abomination as they were not eligible for KC reg as an official breed of GSD and the colour was deemed to be a defect. We never went back. A year later we got Echo our 2nd White GSD. To answer your question that they were too rude to answer. How cold is too cold for GSD's The answer is in the name and the primary breed characteristic. They are Sheep herding dogs and guard dogs. bred as a working dog to be used in the Alsace mountains in Germany hence the name Alsatian. They have been bred to live and work outdoors. Whilst they probably cannot take the extremes that Huskies can with their double insulated coat they perform very well at low temperatures. I am so glad that this forum does not condone such "Elitism" We love Huskies mixed / crossed or pure.

    If.....

I would have really pushed my art. So I could have become a designer for Sci-fi / fantasy movies. that would be my ultimate job. imagine being the person designing iconic characters and locales for star Wars or the Lord of the Rings.
