Aww bud this really sucks. The Hotel may not have given a bad reference but if they refuse to give a reference your new employer can imply whatever they like from the refusal. Most large companies aren't allowed to give or refuse references on the local level it has to come from the H.R. department, and they can only work from your written records at Head office. Good luck finding something else.

I'd love an E-Book reader. So Jealous.. I have to make do with reading on my Nokia N97. While I still love the heft of a REAL book, The e-book is certainly more convenient. I can carry thousands of books with me on my phone. I could get washed up on a desert island and never run out of something to read. (assuming the desert island had a conveniently placed power point for me to charge my phone)

So. . . At 12.40am a bunch of kids, probably about 15 came yomping up our street ripping off and smashing wing mirrors off cars. I lost both of mine, and 3 other residents had similar damage. they went around the corner into the next street and took out another 5 cars up there before heading across a local park. They probably continued on the other side of the park too. police arrived this morning, some 10 hours after the incident. :laola: Cheapest replacement on ebay £63 Scrap yards about £40. Insurance excess is £150 so cheaper to do it myself. FFS !!!!

And that in a nutshell sums up this forum exactly. We're just glad you take part in the forum too. So many of our members join get the info and then lurk in the background. A community like this only really thrives when it's members share. We also get together and meet and that is when this place really shines.
