  1. LMAO I cropped this shot, the original was far more (ahem) well, lets just say he was "Winking" at us.
  2. Yes, Neutering MAY help, however it doesn't guarantee that your sibe will calm down. My first thought reading your post is . . . What do you feed him ?? A lot of hyperactivity is linked to food. Jumping up at visitors is something that should have been addressed as a puppy and taught that it is NOT ok to do this. One method is that YOU greet the visitor away from the husky. Give the visitor a treat. The visitor must make the Husky SIT before he gets the treat. This way the Husky will learn that when a visitor comes in, IF he sits then he will get a treat. Thus stopping the jumping. However it is very common for Huskies to give visitors to the home a far more enthusiastic welcome that to it's owners.
  3. LMAO. . . nope I can't find them anywhere either. . .
  4. No. 5 of a deluge Inspired by todays meet.
  5. The reason a lot of us have more than one is quite simple. They are social animals and love to live in packs. If you have a single Husky and you have to go out for work then your Husky gets bored and then gets creative, finding ways to escape they get destructive, you come home to find they've chewed through a door to get outside or eaten your sofa. A second Husky provides company and they play together and keep each other company. The destruction goes down and they are not so restless.
  6. Thanks Steph, would've been a hell of a journey tho' I go up for a Manchester meet a cuppla times per year. 8 hours of Driving with 3 hours of walking in the middle. Thank god for pro plus and red bull. Worth it though they are always great meets up there.

  11. Alas my Panasonic FZ50 is about 4 yers old and takes about 3 seconds to save each shot. So it won't let me use Burst mode, and when you have 20+ huskies running around I need burst mode to capture the action. And I have Photoshop CS5. aaaannnnndddd. . .(lol) I use curves not the blunt hue n sat So I've got a fair amount of control.
  12. Well I was gonna use RAW for my photo's at tomorrows meet. However playing around shows that I can't use RAW and burst mode at the same time. and. . . . I need burst mode to capture all the fast motion action. Sorry.

  15. Heres how. Load your pic in Gimp Click on the TEXT tool (big black A in the tool box) click on your pic where you want it to go. You'll see there is now a box open to type your words Type whatever you want your watermark to say. click Done if it's not exactly where you want it move it with the MOVE tool (toolbox looks like a + sign with points) use this to make the adjustment. Save your finished image.
  16. http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ free !!
  17. Gimp is free I just did this in Gimp never used the program before. took me 2 minutes, and most of that was finding the move tool to place the watermark exactly where I wanted in the bottom right hand corner.
