I have enough trouble holding my three back when they see a cat or squirrels in the trees. If She'd walked that close to me with her ferrets, Well. . . . my three wouldn't need feeding later.

We took Daughtry out on her first day. Carried her to the grass and plonked her down. She sat looking around. We tugged a bit on her lead to get her going. Nope, having none of that. Big, bad, scary world out here. Not moving. . . nope!! Had to go back and get Echo our White GSD (Daughtry's surrogate mum) Finally she followed Echo. Now she tries to drag us everywhere. . . lol

To walk our 3 together we connect our leads together. We bought 3 Karabiners from Go Outdoors http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/wild-country-nitro-wire-gate-p92980 and connected them like this They are quick and easy to unclip, and you can hold them all in one hand when you need to.because essentially you have one long lead.

So sweet. Dexter is gonna run Willow absolutely ragged in a few months. leaping and playing.

Oh, She is too cute for words. Love the wordplay on the name. . .sweet. Huskies are notorious for being stubborn. she will learn all the commands and tricks. BUT. . . she'll respond to them in her own good time. and only when she wants to. Your persistence is what matters. Keep at it she'll learn. use treats and make it interesting. She'll be the love of your life. . . . and the damndest pain in the ar$£

Our first dog was a border collie. We had to rehome him because we really were not ready for such an energetic / destructive dog. His name was Biscuit we got him as an 8 week old pup from a working sheep farm in wales. So he was full blood working collie. After a year he was so hyper and destructive, despite us walking him miles per day and offlead ball throwing until he was quiverring with exhaustion. He ate the furniture / shoes / boots / clothing / underwear / fixtures and fittings. if he could fit his teeth around it he would chew it to tiny pieces. We loved that boy but. . . he was too much. Took us a good few years of learning before we were ready for Huskies. and this time we came in with our eyes wide open. A collie is not a good alternative /replacement for a Husky.

Well done on adopting Kirby. He sure is a handsome young man. Good job on going so far out of your way to get him If you need any help and advice just shout, Coz Huskies ain't like any other dog on the planet. join in the fun too, we're to help but we like to have fun and share other stuff too.
