Ok so there was a knock at the door and Echo goes off with her usual subtle 150 decibel barking. Ushers all the dogs in the living room and shuts the door. Opens the front door and there is Gavin one of our neighbours. "Oy, mate my bruvvers just turned up and he's got a Husky, thought you'd like to meet it" I go out to meet the brother and Blade. A VERY Handsome young man 11 months old. We brought Darwin out they had a brief sniff and Darwin launched at him, Teeth bared. . . Oooooh, not good. So took him back in and got Daughtry. Jeez Love at first sight or what. Sniffing each other Blade instantly round the back and "sorry mate nope, she's only 9 months old" Gavins brother goes. . . "Fancy breedin' 'em"?? (ahem) "erm, no she's too young" Gavin had his Staffie there, a well behaved young lady that Darwin and Daughtry love to playfight with if we don't have Echo with us. Gave the Brother a Bizzyness card with the forum details on. He said he'd visited the site but wasn't a member. Urged him to join. sorry for the poor picture quality crap phone camera. . . Darwin does this all the time, as well as what we call "Face Surfing" rubbing his head along the grass, this usually ends up with thehead collar half off over one of his ears. . . then he LEAPS forwards or backwards and he's out. Thank goodness for the safety strap attached to his collar. Even if he does get completely off. . . he just runs and hunkers down, and then wants us to chase him. After about ten minutes he lets us approach and clip him back on.

So sorry to hear things have got worse. We had 2 months of hell between Echo (our white GSD) and Darwin. It got to the stage where we had to send echo to my Ex-wifes house for a week so that she could heal. While Echo would pin Darwin into submission, in the process he would slash Echo with his teeth causing deep cuts and punctures. I got bitten by Darwin in the process of separating them. However they have finally settled down and were actually "playfighting" today. They snuggle together on the floor and kip during the day. As for the night time. . .Echo and Daughtry sleep downstairs in the living room and Darwin on the floor at the foot of my bed. He nearly destroyed the living room door in the first week to get to us at night. His original owners let him sleep with them from being a puppy. However this is the ONLY concession we have given into him with. So I can sympathise with what you are going through. We don't have a young child in the house though. and that has to be your primary worry. There I can't help. . . sorry. If you just had the dogs I would say stick with it . . . it DOES get better. But if you are scared of Keegan getting caught between them. . . then. . . I don't know
