  6. I can guarantee my OPINION on religion would offend, not just judeo christian but ALL religious people. However I only voice my opinions when I know I am in a position where all participants are agreed to a frank and open discussion. (well except when bible wavers knock on my door. . . then they deserve and get both barrels). However to voice an unsolicited opinion when they KNOW it will offend is plain rude and inconsiderate. I live by a general rule of treat others as you yourself would like to be treated. This person is being deliberately offensive.

  10. Welcome Gemma and Steve, There are more than a few here who will give you their well considered opinions on your questions.>We are having a husky meet in Oxford just up the road from you guys on Sat 31st July. In the Cutteslowe park at 2pm.While Loki will be too young to bring, why not come along to the meet and get some hands on with young to adult huskies, pick our brains. We have people coming from all over the country. It'll be great to meet you
  11. When Kelly and I decided to consider a husky for our next dog we did a lot of research, however reading heights and weights is no match for seeing one up close for the first time. At the time we had never really been up close and personal with a sibe and so when we drove out to Cambridgeshire to look at rehoming Kaiser a 2 year old that had been returned to the breeder, we were both surprised at how small the average size was. We saw all the breeders dogs, We too at the time were of the idea that Huskies were "bigger than that". It didn't stop us from falling head over heels with the breed. What stopped us from getting kaiser. . . Echo, we'd taken her along to see how they got on, and well some of you have met our gobby GSD. So no that didn't happen. instead we looked for a breeder with a current litter available and well. . . we came home a few weeks later with Daughtry.
  12. Awwwww poor Sakari, hope she's ok. Sorry I can't help, bud Fingers n paws crossed for ya.
  13. When Insults Had Class These eloquent insults are from an era before English got boiled down to 4-letter expletives. ___________________________________________ An exchange between Churchill & Lady Astor: She said, "If you were my husband I'd poison your tea." He said, "If you were my wife, I'd drink it." A member of Parliament to Disraeli: "Sir, you will either die on the gallows or of some unspeakable disease." "That depends, Sir," said Disraeli, "whether I embrace your policies or your mistress." "He had delusions of adequacy." - Walter Kerr "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire." - Winston Churchill "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." Clarence Darrow "He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary." - William Faulkner (about Ernest Hemingway). "Thank you for sending me a copy of your book; I'll waste no time reading it." – Moses Hadas "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it" - Mark Twain "He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends.." - Oscar Wilde "I am enclosing two tickets to the first night of my new play; bring a friend... if you have one." - George Bernard Shaw to Winston Churchill "Cannot possibly attend first night, will attend second... if there is one." - Winston Churchill, in response. "I feel so miserable without you; it's almost like having you here." - Stephen Bishop "He is a self-made man and worships his creator." - John Bright "I've just learned about his illness. Let's hope it's nothing trivial." - Irvin S. Cobb "He is not only dull himself; he is the cause of dullness in others." - Samuel Johnson "He is simply a shiver looking for a spine to run up." - Paul Keating "In order to avoid being called a flirt, she always yielded easily." – Charles, Count Talleyrand "He loves nature in spite of what it did to him." - Forrest Tucker "Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?" - Mark Twain "His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork." - Mae West "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go." - Oscar Wilde "He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts... for support rather than illumination." - Andrew Lang (1844-1912) "I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it." - Groucho Marx

  17. Be prepared to have him stolen at the next meet. . . lol you look around and you're tugging one of those stuffed dog baby walkers on wheels.
  18. Tami, Hush yo mouf' You are in a position that ALL Husky owners find themselves in. A draggy / pully Husky. It's normal. What to do about it, Ahhhh now there's a can of worms you're about to open. 1. How much one on one time can you spend training Shiloh, outside the house. ? 2. Is he normally on a collar or a harness ? There are various methods of loose lead training but they require about an hour each day for one on one training. There are training headcollars and harnesses available which make them easier to handle when you are out and about BUT they are not a permanent fix only until your one on one training is continuing, eventually the training will allow you to replace the control harness or collar, with well behaved loose lead walking.
  19. Welcome Nikki and Viggo, We're all quite friendly and we don't bite. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask.
  20. OOh, yeah and Oxford, we desperately need something like that here. If Kelly can't find another Job she'll run it here for you.
  21. and don't forget Linda has THREE adult Huskies. So divide these costs by 3 for a single Sibe
