On the rare occasion when we've been stoopid enough to leave the kitchen gate open and gone out, Darwin had had food out of the oven (not cooking, just cooling in there for later) Came home to find two happy dogs and no dinner for us. So tempting smells can lead to husky sniffing out and finding noms.

Good girl Bear. When Daughtry was with us she used to get in between Echo and Darwin when she detected Echo about to launch into Darwin.

Offlead only in a fully secure area. Too many of us have lost our huskies, by them accidentally getting out then either disappearing or getting run over. Let alone deliberately letting them run off. If you love your dog . . . keep them attached.

My guys have 24/7 access to the back garden. Quite often I will wonder where Darwin is. . . ? yeah 3am howling wind / rain /sleet he's laid out in the garden . . . just chillin' -
isn't it just. . . sometimes they do it to see what they can get away with. Sometimes it's just sheer bloody mindedness. Mostly (with the destruction) it's just boredom, and they are keeping themselves occupied
