  6. Hi, Jimmer, Yeah we are in Oxford and are looking to organise a meet here in the very near future. We have 4 members in Oxford with a total of 6 Huskies, Other members have said they'd like to come down if we have one so we could have 10 or more Sibes for Storm to play with. Keep an eye on the "whats on" section of the forum.

I've watched dog whipserer, many times and mostly have nothing but praise for the way he deals with problem dogs. . . However. . . He didn't sort this womans problem at all!!! The dogs drag the woman down the street. He tried to "calm" them down before starting off. . .it was obvious that didn't work So then Ceasar gave them a good run pulling him on his skates. . .so. . . After they had had a good run were tired and a lot more compliant he was able to get them to "walk" nicely. MY dogs walk nicely after they have had a good run around and have tired themselves out. . . But at the beginning they would pull for england. (if they wern't in Halti head collars that is) All he did was tire them out. . . Cheat!!
  9. Oi!! I resent you casting nasturtions on my character. . . I am not never no dodgy geezer. . honest yer honour. . .
  10. You can never be too careful Keath. You're just trying to keep Sakari healthy. You may have a period of re-training to get her to eat standing up. At first you may have to stand with the bowl at head height so you are still giving him the food until he gets the idea that he has to stand to eat. then a head height stand or as you have tried, putting the bowl on something at the right height. Then when he has been standing and eating for a while drop the bowl back to the floor and see if he stays standing. If he reverts straight back to lying down, you may have to keep it elevated. A lot of work but at least you'll have peace of mind about the twisted gut. . . good luck.

  17. We've used kennels before and the dogs always come out stinking to high heaven. This could be a great idea if it were practical. There would need to be some Standard rules that we could all follow. So that everyone knows what is expected from both parties. Stuff like. . . making sure the incoming dogs have medical insurance. (just in case) Food provided, or reimbursed for. . . Any special dietary needs or requirements. Spayed/ Neutered or not. . .(coz neither party would want unexpected puppies.) Travel costs if the dog has to picked up or returned. Even taking the above into account it would still be cheaper than kennels, Which tend to run to about £400+ for two weeks. Feel free to add or amend . . .
