  1. My Sophie doesn't bark at all. She talks alot though, with the typical woooo woooooo .....and when I don't obey her immediately (lol, ya'll know what I"m talking about!) she then starts cussing me with the WOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO!!!! Wallie occasionally will give short nippy barks at Sophie when he wants her to play with him. He doesn't woooo wooooo often though. Kinda odd. He's pretty silent most of the time actually.
  2. trick or treating hasn't started here yet, but we won't get any. Small subdivision on a huge hill with no street lights. Not very kid friendly......................
  3. Yes I'm sure they would lick their paws too. The vet was just a little more concerned about what I put on her nose because it's harder to get it rubbed in before that tongue starts licking it.
  4. Good luck! I'm sure that has to be terribly frustrating!
  5. We had such a hot summer this year! My two only went outside to go potty and came STRAIGHT back in! Now that it's cooling off they really want to be outside during the day. I let them out a little while ago and I'm sure when I head out for the day and offer to let them back in they will politely decline. lol They still want to be inside at night though. They are a little too used to having a nice soft bed to lay in! (or a mommy to lay on TOP of!)
  6. our time changes next Saturday night. Official time change is Sunday, Nov. 6. We used to have the time change in October to but it's changed. I'm not looking forward to it either! (except for the extra hour of sleep thing..........)
  7. it's 35 F here this morning. (1.67 C). Coldest morning yet this fall. HIgh today is supposed to be around 70 F (21 C) and sunny! Perfect day! I think I"ll ride my motorcycle today!
  8. I do put vaseline on it. Problem is she licks it off almost as quick as I can rub it in! BRAT!! lol
  9. Will that mushers secret be safe for me to put on Sophie's nose? She has low thyroid, and one effect of that is having a VERY dry nose. It's so rough and almost cracking. It obviously doesn't cause her any discomfort, but it seems so sad. I want her sweet nose to be moist and soft and shiny!
  10. I'm surprised at how many people won't even consider huskies and cats together. I have 2 huskies now, one of which was raised from a puppy with the cats. Wallie however, was about a year old when we got him from the rescue last year. I would absolutely trust them both with Jessie. I leave them together with her in the house all the time. My first huskie (who died a few years ago) was fine with the cats too. I also left her in the house together with the cats. I now have 2 huskies, a rat terrier, and one cat all living happily together. They're all family members and I want them all with me.
  11. Sophie does tend to jump down when she gets hot. She'll lay on the floor and cool off, then come back up. My rat terrier stays snuggled under the covers all the time, even in 95 degree (F) heat!
  12. love this one too. It makes me want to cry. Who am I to deserve that? But my Sophie gives all of that to me. *angel*
  13. I agree! I'm putting that one as my facebook status right now!
