  1. Tuna in oil Always works for Blizzy when he's not hungry, wolfs the lot down. Mind you he weighs over 30Kg. Tuna in oil is also really good for the coats I guess. Smells better than 'fishy' dog food too..

Blizzy Thinks he's a polar bear! He comes up on his back legs til he's straight up (and he's over 5' now) then drops down and pounds his cushion in the lounge as if he's a polar bear trying to break through the ice to get at seals - I'll try and catch him and you-tube it. Mind you, he doesn't like vodka much!!
  4. If anyone's interested I'm currently looking at importing one of the dried foods from America that is highest rated in the survey mentioned earlier in the thread. Hoping to have samples shortly and some idea of price. Early days but if the numbers stack up I may be able to distribute throughout the UK.

Think you need To take a trip statesie and visit Kat Von D, her black and grey tat's are amazing - and very lifelike too1 Don't go too small though Sarah, you'll lose detail. Good luck.
  6. It's a thong thang babe!! You sneaky wench! When did you take that??? PS You haven't seen me lately building in my garden!!!!!
  7. Only one drink...... Sitting on the patio surveying the valley....... Mojito - made just how they do it in Cuba! By the way for all you Charlatans who put coke in your vodka, try the Polish 'Zubrowka' pronounced sher-bruv-ker. Available now at tesco, asda etc. Best neat straight from the freezer but if you mix it with coke you'll never go back to Smirnoff!!
  8. Am I a killjoy???? I have a small tattoo - Tazmanian Devil - which is virtuallly on my backside but it is very discrete in that I would have to be wearing a thong for it to be visible. I would just advise caution before having so permanent and elaborate. Sorry!!
  9. Take them for a walk....... Through the woods in Healey Dell, shaded from the heat and as you cross the viaduct you can watch me slaving away building my garden walls :-( Or........ Southport. Miles of beach and if you park at the end you can walk them down to the sea and let them have a good paddle in the sea, they'll love it! Even better, you can give them an ice cream each!!
  10. Name dropping but....... I wasn't ranting about City - I think it would be great if they had a really good team - after all they have a superb manager - Sparky was one of my all-time favourite players. I agree that all the top teams are "bought" nowadays, but at least United (and one or two others) still have a really effective "academy" where youngsters are scouted and developed - this could become really crucial if UEFA ever do bring in a ruling on the number of foreign players allowed. Incidentally, my most abiding memory of Man City was the 1956 Cup Final which I watched as an 8 year old with my dad on our neighbour's TV (he was the only person in the street rich enough to have one). That was the match in which the City goalkeeper, Bert Trautmann broke his neck but still played the whole game. I remember asking my dad throughout the match, "Why does the goalie keep rubbing his neck dad?" - I don't see many of today's players doing that - they fall to the ground if someone gets within a yard of them. 11. But Mick... As a United fan for 50 years, I am sad to lose him in one way, but to be honest, I'd rather lose him and keep Tevez. Next year's Premiership should be really competitive - especially if Man City buy themselves a good team. We'll still win it though - Chelsea are too old and Rafa loses the plot too easily. Mind you, Fergie needs to sort out the team's mental approach to big games. We should never have been badly beaten by Liverpool or beaten by Barca - for some reason, on those days, we just never turned up. In the Champion's League Final, I thought that Barca were very ordinary and on any other day we would have slaughtered them, but for some reason we played like over-awed schoolboys. Mick:D:D:D
  12. Well.... As a Man City fan I'm even more pleased! Only trouble is it means Liverpool have a better chance of winning - and that can't be good lol!
  13. Tropical fish Not a case of doing it wrong - just difference of opinion.... I keep marine fish and corals, and do water changes of no more than 10% volume no more than once a month - but I know 2 different specialist suppliers quite well, one of which agrees with my system, one who works on minimum 10% every week. There is no right and wrong really though because no 2 tanks are the same. One of the biggest factors in my experience is filtration. My own tank has an Aqua Medic sump filter retailing at close to 850 with a tower trickle unit from the main tank to the sump unit but to this I've added my own trickle filter (all of this out of site in the cabinet) and even a fluval in the tank itself. I suppose in reality the filter system I now have is suitable for a tank twice the size but remember, a fish doesn't have to swim around in it's own pooh does it! Get your filtration right and you'll never be bothered by nitrites. With regard to nitrates though, ask your aquatic store to test their own water for nitrate levels before you buy any nitrate testing kit - you may be surprised! One good point though is to use RO (reverse osmosis) water. This is provided by a filter (similar to the Britta concept) which removes virtually everything from tap water and leaves you with pure H2O with none of the little nasties we put in to protect out feeble selves. Like I said, not right or wrong, just differing opinions.....
  14. I know it's an old nuggett but....... Last night outside the house...... [ame] [/ame]
  15. Your faith in me.... Whilst flattering Becky, is somewhat a little misplaced right now lol. Time will tell though I guess;)
