  1. If you can afford it Quest is very, very good http://www.quest-dog-foods.co.uk/apps/webstore/products/show/826977 If you want something cheaper CSJ isn't bad http://www.csjk9.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=111&idcategory=4#details For some reason I can't add links so this looks "messy"
  2. Sorry for the late reply, I've not been online much. If the whole film is ruined then there is light seepage somewhere in the camera. Once the back is shut a camera should be light proof . To load a film, open the back and feed a small amount of the film onto the spindle. Wind the film on and press the shutter as if you are taking a shot. Load the film canister in the left hand slot and close the back. Wind on and take about 3-4 shots. The shot counter is calibrated to ignore these. Keep winding and shooting till your shot guide reads 0. You should now be able to take pictures. If you get blank pictures then light is seeping in from somewhere and the camera needs a service. What make and model is it?
  3. To wander off slightly I've tried Super dooper champ and Hike On with my girl. She loved them both. She seems to prefer Hike on and is doing well on it.
  4. A "good" food has a meat source as the main ingredient. On the ingredients list they are listed in content order so as "Cereals (Min. 4% Rice)" is the first on the list on the Beta food that is the main ingredient. Dogs don't generally chose to eat a cereal as their main protein, they prefer meat so this isn't really a brilliant food. Wainwrights appears much better and is easily available from Pets at home. It does look expensive though. I quite like CSJ click here for puppy food which is similar in quality but a lot cheaper.
  5. I love a decent whisky. Cardhu is a favourite of mine. Don't add any mixer or ice, it kills the flavour.
  6. We've just been away skiing for a week and paid a friend's teenage daughter (18 and loves pets) to come and stay for the week with Storm. I wasn't keen on kennels due to limited amount of exercise, my alternative would have been to post and see if anyone on here would look after her for the week (at least you know they get good care). If you're going on summer holidays do you know anyone in Uni/College who is reliable, would like to earn a bit of cash and would like a paid holiday (!!) in your home - worth a shot. I also know of a pet sitter/walker near Eccles if that's anywhere near you and you need details, give us a shout - good luck.
  7. Looks like a perfect Saturday night to me. Beer and a punch up, it's what made Britain Great.
  8. Tell him to leave the heads on next time. I've given mine whole trout and it went down a treat.
  9. I just found out today as well as a Bobsled team there is a Jamaican dogsled team. They have a website which can be found here and no it's not a wind up, they are apparently pretty good.
  10. Edwina is a mentalist. Ludlow is lovely though isnt it?

    KC Reg

I hate to say but I'm no fan of the KC and to me KC papers would mean very little. To my mind what matters more is that pups and parents are healthy, vet checked and have all the jabs, worming etc..

    Breeders

You may well have to travel if you want a good breeder. Huskies (thank goodness) are still not a massively popular breed so they tend not to be farmed. In saying that sadly it does seem to be becoming more common. Here is the KC accredited breeders list. Contact them and have a chat. If they know you are serious most breeders will offer good advice even if they don't have puppies for sale.

    DOES ANYONE

Ouch hate to say that is a really simple job that a sparky will charge an arm and a leg for. All you need to do is knock the power off and unscrew your light from the ceiling. Check the connections (at least 1 will be loose) and tighten them all up. Rescrew light to ceiling, put power back on. It's best done with 2 people. 1 to hold the light as they are heavy and 1 to screw everything in. Really, really simple but expensive because of the time it takes. They will most likely charge call out fee plus hourly rate..min 1 hour and that costs.
  14. Check out www.419eater.com If you want a reply the best thing to say is something really bland like...I'm interested tell me more... Than berate them for being slow!
  15. We use the Manmat harness, it's suitable for walking or pulling. For walking you use the "top" D ring and for pulling the other Dring.
