  6. Yes,in her litter Sass was known as the chocolate one!!. Nowadays she is called ging!!
  7. Aww Tracey ,she is sooo gorgeous , just love her mask. My Sass had a mask just like that as a pup and now aged 2, it has completely disappeared! :confused:How annoying is that !!....Shes also changing from brown to ginger so what's next....!!!!!!...Karen xx
  8. tbh, she's been quite off colour and threw up again this morning( this time in Thunders bed!!):rolleyes:so I'm keeping a close eye on her.As for the new bed,it only just fitted into the washing machine( I had to force it in !!) but it has come out looking and smelling better than new.But I'm not putting it back down again til I know she's better !!
  9. Great idea!.:)Our packs lovely new posh super king size bed is in the wash as I speak.Sass decided to throw up all over it this morning:eek: So might have to find an old duvet myself now!!
  10. Nice pics and vid, gorgeous looking huskies and so nice they all got along together!!
  11. Both our girls got tubby after being spayed. It was a case of changing them to the low fat / light version of the dry food they are on and although it took a while and lots of exercise, they both slimmed down nicely . I'm very happy with their weight/ appearance now but we do keep a check on tit bits etc, cos I don't think it would take much for them to starting ballooning again!!
  12. Nice pics, lovely to see them all having fun off lead!
  13. Well, believe it or not, before we got Mystie, our first husky,we went to see some cavapoos!!!( cavalier king charles x poodles)They don't moult!!!. I was all for that,my girls would have had anything,as long as it was a dog,but oh said no,he wanted a husky....so...it's all HIS fault!!(men, they never listen!!!)
  14. lol, probably,or how about a huskypoo??!!Half husky but no moulting!! Must be possible, pretty much anything else x poodle is!!
  15. Lol,mission impossible indeed!!.Looks like it will be in time for Christmas then!!. Just love it when they moult in mid Winter, when they are mostly stuck inside!!.Aarghh, why didn't I get a poodle??!!
  16. Stop it Nicola, you're scaring me!!(Dont you know I have a fur phobia!!!).Im also enjoying relative furlessness at the mo....don't say it's going to end.Nooooooo!!
  17. Lol,Hmmm, a dry,cold day,pretty damned impossible !!!.Hmmm,.A road trip,maybe....maybe NOT!!!
  18. Thank you Nic,glad you liked it!.No ,definitely haven't noticed either Mystie or Sass doing that.Mystie is a really good girl off lead, about as good as a husky can get,Sass is the most lively,so will run the most, but always keeps us in her sight. The boys are pretty chilled ( lazy, bone idle !) and after a quick sprint, quite knackered! Dont forget, offer is still there,if you get the urge to visit Sunny Wales!!(more like a bog these days lol!)
  19. We let ours off lead daily, always have, but we are lucky to have an exceptional area, safe from traffic and livestock etc,and fairly well enclosed.I would not let them off anywhere near roads / traffic or anywhere I consider dangerous. They have never just mindlessly run off,but they will chase birds, rabbits etc,and go deaf occasionally. As the area we use is safe, they can have their fun,and its ok.Having said that, they go so far and just run back, they always keep us in sight, and check where we are.I do not worry anymore about them running away. What I read about huskies off lead, scares me more than anything they have ever done. All huskies are individuals, with varying amounts of energy etc,so nothing is ever black or white.
  20. Aww,Thank you Nanci for your kind words.Yes,I miss Lycan as a puppy ,they just grow up far too fast,we certainly can't have any more but he will always be my baby boy!.Im glad I have some vids of him as a puppy, running away from the others and being battered,at least I'll always have that. The part towards the end of the vid, when they race off,is where they go down to the pond for a drink. They do the same thing everytime,so nothing to worry about, honest!!
  21. Thank you Ron,glad you liked it.Will keep em coming!!
  22. Thank you, glad you liked it!!.:)Don't know that song,so will check it out, may be able to use it in future:)Tbh,we have never done a great deal of work on recall, but they have always been off lead in this area since very little pups. This walk is their everyday routine, and they pretty much stick to the route, they do have odd moments when they chase a bird or squirrel, but area is so big, after a few mins, they give up!!,and it is well away from roads.Lycan is quite exceptional, since he always looks for me,and will stay with me,if,for example the others go in one direction and I go another,he will stay with me.My husband runs with all 4, but if I go out with him,he has to leave Lycan with me,cos he literally would have to drag him away.:rolleyes:He is my beloved boy! And yes,Sass looks a lot like Cj,funnily enough,I nearly said that to you the other day, when you commented on out photo post""super ,king side bed"!!
  23. You're welcome!!.Thank you.Glad you liked it...Karen.xx
  24. Thank you, tbh, they don't know any different,it is their everyday routine, and they are really very good (for huskies!!)
