  1. Fab vids,amazing place!!:)Looks like great fun!
  2. Here's a vid of our 4 playing with another 5 huskies,so 9 huskies in total !! All having fun together:)
  3. We have to walk ours through a field of 3 ponies daily. They are way too interested in them,we keep them on short leads, and on the few occasions that the ponies have been close,we have tried to let them sniff them, but they have tried to nip at them. They haven't been brought up with them from pups, but tbh,I wouldn't trust them anywhere near them.Lycan will stalk them as we walk along, only Thunder seems not very bothered, but I honestly think they would chase them given half the chance.
  4. Fab pics,all stunning!!
  5. Lol,they are fantastic pics, both so beautiful, but Dexter is sooo unique, just love him!!.Great to see then running like that!!
  6. Thank you for the update. That is so lovely to hear, what a fantastic little fighter she is!! Fingers crossed she continues to do well.xx:)
  7. Go Vlad,go!! Looks like a lot of fun and good exercise too, great vid!!
  8. It all depends on your lifestyle, and how much time you can really give them.We went from 0 to 4 huskies in less than 2 years.:eek:We had Mystie, who was re homed to us at a year old.Just 3 months later we got Thunder, aged 8 wks.We had Sass less than a year later, and Lycan arrived 7 months after Sass. They have never destroyed anything, the worst they have ever done is gnaw an outside fence post, and put a few teeth marks in one of our kitchen chairs but that is it.However, they are extremely well exercised, that is always our utmost priority. They are rarely left alone ,the most they are left for is a max of 1 or 2 hrs ,twice a week.We are a big family,so someone is always home. They were crated as young puppies but no need to anymore. tbh, they are our lifestyle, and our way of life !!
  9. Aww, so cute and what a nosey lot !! Ours are exactly the same with any bags or shopping!! Love the paw and the way their eyes go so huge!!Do they get many treats/tit bits??(Looks like they do!!)
  10. Yes,I did see him ,:rolleyes:but I still think they are well mannered.!! I will have to do a vid of my lot when they get a dental stick ( if I can manage to film without getting my hand bitten off!!)
  11. Wow,you are very honest,so well done for that, and I for one, will always respect and value someone else's opinion.(I'm guessing it is to do with religion in your case, but don't know for sure) Do I consider dogs dirty?.No not really, but I am conscious of the fact that they do dirty things.Eg,my lot regularly catch ,kill and eat vermin( mice, voles etc!) so I don't really want them licking my hands just after! .Whilst out walking, they will eat rabbit poo, chicken poo, horse poo, goat poo and sheep poo,if they get the chance ( we have to walk through a farm every day!!) .Again ,not nice.As a rule we all wash our hands before meals,or if they lick them, and I won't let our dogs lick our faces/ mouths etc.I'm not sure if they can pass on anything undesirable that way,so best not to chance it,I don't think I wash our clothes more, only the fact they they get more muddy / dirty from them etc.We do bath our dogs every few months, cos we like them to look and smell nice!.We clean the garden as soon as they do anything, because if not, they might-by accident ,run or walk in it.We check their paws when they come in,especially if its wet and muddy, and they are very used to sitting on the mat inside and having all their paws cleaned. They are not allowed upstairs ,it's a dog free zone, and mostly dog hair free too,and I don't let them on the furniture,Not because they are dirty, more to do with hairs again. When you have 4 kids and 4 dogs in one house you do have to have rules!. I think we all need to come into contact with germs/ dirt just for a healthy immune system, and I have actually read somewhere that children who live with dogs or pets actually have less time off school than someone without a pet( fact). We have always had pets and dogs in the house and neither us or our kids seem to have been any worse off for it( last year my youngest daughter was the only one in her class who had 100% attendance for the whole school year!) As already said, some humans are not too clean either,so If I had to choose between sharing my house with a dirty person,or my dogs,I know who I would choose!!!
  12. Aww,what really beautiful huskies you have and so well behaved too,no jumping up or snatching:rolleyes:...fab! And lucky to be so spoilt too!!
  13. Lovely pics Nanci, the pack are looking good!!And what a daddy's girl Jessy is!!
  14. We have had a whole family living in our garden.Dogs found mum first, they couldn't get at her, because of her spikes,Mystie was frothing at the mouth when we found her!!We took her up to a field and released her.2 nights after they got a baby, sadly they managed to kill it before we got to it.A couple of days later they got baby no2 ,who was obviously injured and making unbelievably loud noises. We put it in a box and called our local wildlife rescue people who came straight out to collect it.I rang the next day and they said it was fine,it only had superficial cuts, and would be kept a few months then released again.About a week later they found baby number 3 ,fortunately, only 1 dog outside at time,so I was able to rescue it and take it somewhere safe(phew!).Since then we have had another adult and another baby, luckily, dogs were inside at the time.We have been really careful to check the garden each time we let them out,but in the dark it's just not easy to see them.Apparently it has been a good year for them, with it being so wet,so many slugs etc.Everytime our lot go out into the garden now, they are on hedgehog alert, and so are we!!!
  15. Lol,Yes me too but even then I'm still 2 hands short!!!:rolleyes:And that makes you 6 hands short right??!!
  16. Aww Tracey, what next?No advice I can give sorry but speak to Gigi @sutsibe. She's very knowledgeable for certain.....Karen xxx PS, try not to worry, easy to say I know.xx
  17. Aww,fab pics,your pack is stunning.Denali as unmissable / unmistakable as ever!!!Always my fave!!
  18. How can you even think you are a failure!!!.Most of us struggle with 2 or more.I have always been secretly in awe of you!!.You keep 8 huskies in your home and garden, not kennelled, and dedicate your whole day to them. You are a fantastic example of unselfishness, only when you have 4 or more huskies, can you really begin to understand how hard that must be. Just hang on in there Tracey, you had very bad news yesterday,of course you're feeling down. In time it will all get sorted, one way or another.Your huskies happiness and well being is your main priority, all the time,so their future will be fine, whatever you decide.....Karen.xx
  19. A pack of 3 blue eyed beauties!.Gorgeous dogs,great pics:)
  20. Aww Tracey, just reading this devastating news now.Praying that you ,your sister and the rest of your family are going to find strength in each other, and get through this awful time together as best as you all can.Lots and lots of love to you all....Karen.xx
  21. Aww,Thank you!! Yes, do agree with you, although very rough,it is only play.(not sure if Lycan would agree with that!!!)Sadly we have encountered a few people who don't see it as play and think we have vicious dogs.
  22. Aww bless him!,Love that Lil scottie dog btw, thought he was a toy for a moment!! Too cute!
