  1. :thankyou:That is very encouraging, more patience and better coats,No contest really.Sorry boys,Looks like times up!!!
  2. Well Thank you Sarah, thats lots of info and food for thought, and all positive.I am all for docile packs living with 4 of them, and always feeling outnumbered!!.
  3. Well thats good to know,He could def do with some more patience with Lycan right now.Think Tundy boy was at the back of the queue when God handed out patience!!
  4. The patience thing would def be good, and good to know their coats changed but not in a bad way.Suppose it's difficult to say for sure as you say,all individuals.
  5. Thank you once again, for your compliments!!
  6. Can't remember which site I got them from cos was about a year ago(Bought on line),but they were about £17 each:)
  7. Thank you,Thats interesting about him getting grumpier though. He is grumpy with Lycan now,not aggressive, but doesn't like it when Lycan decides to stand on his head or clean his teeth etc!! The cancer thing is a def reason for neutering though.
  8. Calmer sounds good, definitely!!.Been pulled over 3 times in a field by Tundy boy, twas wet and muddy too!!
  9. Hi Again!! Thank you!!.Yes,harnesses do help because they attach to a ring at the front and although they can still pull, they definitely can't put their full body weight into it like a normal harness.I think they are called gentle leader harnesses.
  10. Okay, thank you for that, thats good news about the coat,(I Think!!),Do I really want them to get any fluffier??!!LOL.Only joking,I had heard their coats got coarser and didn't like sound of that!!! Thanks,Karen.x:D
  11. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to get some advice and valuable opinions on neutering a male.We have 2 males,Thunder and Lycan.Thunder is not neutered and we don't think it's a problem,as he doesn't go round humping everything/everyone and is generally a good boy.(He can be a bit grumpy with other male dogs, but not neutered males)However ,just wondering how things are going to work out having 2 boys in the house.Lycan is still only a baby, just nearly 10 weeks old,so don't know if eventually it might be a problem keeping 2 unneutered males together.I have been told by my vet that when they are neutered it changes their coats but not necessarily their behaviour?(Our other 2 huskies are bitches, one is being spayed this Friday, and the other in a months time).I would welcome any comments or advice,as never having had a neutered male I don't know what difference it makes. : Thank you , Karen.x:confused:
  12. Thank you, your dogs look stunning too!
  13. Thank you so much for your kind words, and I really do appreciate your concern. As you rightly say, there is always a risk involved.Whether what we do is right or wrong we can't say for sure,no one can,I suppose only time will tell. Karen.x
  14. Hi There, Thanks for your comments.Yes,we do let them off leash. It's just something we have always done right from when they were little.Mystie is def the lead dog,and usually very obedient. The others pretty much follow her,so they really don't know any different. The area is a 5 min walk from our house, and about as safe as anywhere can be outside(ie no roads, livestock etc).It does however, border on a huge golf course,so yes,if they did decide to take off we wouldn't see them for dust. You need to go through three 5 bar gates in a private lane before you enter the area, and they can't squeeze through, gates have to be opened. They are not good jumpers either!!..Generally,they are very good, and don't like to loose sight of us.If they are way infront of us and we change direction, they always turn and follow us.We know there is always a risk, but we think that about most things in life. Karen x
  15. Thank you!.The trick is getting the 3 of them to keep still!.We take loads of photos but most of them are rubbish!!
  16. Our Beautiful Huskies in a Beautiful Place. *Warning* It is generally not advisable to let huskies off leads, and this video is not intended to encourage owners to do so,so please do not attempt to copy what we are doing.
  17. Hi Amanda, Thank you for your comment. We actually messed up that day big time.!!Jon thought he was filming the dogs right from the start of the walk, which would have be amazing,as they were all running together through a wood initially. However, sadly,he forgot to press the record button!!(Typical!!) All we had then was the tail end of the walk, which luckily my daughter managed to film. Karen.XX.
  18. Thank you for your kind comments.xx
