  1. Hi There, Thank you for your comments, and observations. No we hadn't been wearing them out before their walk!!.The day was fairly warm, and that usually seems to slow them down.Prior to the start of the vid, they had been out for about 20 mins and had been running through a wood. They do have their mad moments of course, you can check a couple of our other vids, especially the one in the snow, and they are running around quite a bit there. They don't go crazy when they see their leads, sometimes we have to coax Sass to leave her bed!!They usually have a run off lead, every morning, for about an hour each day,and sometimes I take them again in the evening for 30 mins or so,but they don't really need it.Most people who visit us are amazed at what a bunch of sleepy heads they are, usually horizontal!!.Hey,who knows, maybe they are not true huskies, just husky lookalikes!!
  2. Hi There, Just to let you know, we have now added a warning to our video,it has had so many viewings we thought it advisable. Thanks, Karen and Jon
  3. Hi David, Thank you for your kind comments. We are beginning to think we should not have posted this vid, certainly should have had a health warning with it,but hey,we are new to this and we all make mistakes!!.Seems we are in the minority.:eek:As you say,it is nice to have their trust, and that is exactly what we do,wrong or right,it works for us. Thanks again, Karen and Jon.x:)
  4. Hi Stacey, Thank you for your comments.Have to admit they have once caught a baby rabbit but that's been about it! We very much welcome, value and appreciate everyones different comments and opinions, that is afterall, why we joined this site.We have been amazed at the number of viewings this video has had,and apologize if we have annoyed, upset, or given anyone the wrong impression by posting this videos.:eek:That was never our intention,we are new to this site and simply wanted to show some beautiful dogs enjoying a walk together. We are aware that it is generally not advisable to let huskies off lead, and are certainly not advising or suggesting anyone else should try this. Seems this video should have come with a health warning!.Any future ones most definitely will. Most of our videos show our dogs off lead, and we did want to post some more, but not sure now we will,as we do not want to get into any further controversial discussions on this subject!.No harm or offence intended honest!! Once again, thank you for your comments, Karen.x;)
  5. Thank you for the above,Our friends little west highland white terrier was hit and killed by a car last week.He got excited and ran off. We thank you for reminding us of the dangers of letting any dog off the lead.
  6. Hi There, Thanks for your comments. As you say, this can be a touchy subject, but we do trust our dogs off lead.Like yourselves,we are wary of strange dogs etc,but can honestly say they listen very well and have never mindlessly ran off.But we are not saying everyone else try it!!
  7. Thank you Laura, nice to hear.We don't want to give anyone the wrong impression when it comes to letting huskies off the lead, but are just showing people how it is with ours.
  8. We take on board your message. We are new to this website,we assumed it was all about husky owners, but we are proud of our well behaved dogs.We wanted to share this with others. Most of our videos feature our dogs off lead,so for future postings we shall add a health warning if you think that's better,as we certainly don't want to create the wrong impression.
  9. I found this video quite sad to watch. The dog looked harassed, and I think she was being taught all the wrong messages. We have 4 huskies in our house, along with 4 children, but the dogs never sit on any furniture, that way they know their place.(ie Bottom of the pack!)If your boy got bitten,I certainly wouldn't blame the dog.She is a beautiful dog,and I'm sure she is good tempered, but I think she is confused as to who the sofa belongs to.
  10. As I said before, hopefully you all know your own dogs best .I am sure that most husky owners are very aware of the rule that generally you should not let huskies off their leads.Over the last couple of years ,we have come across quite a number of people who DO let their huskies off lead. That is for each individual to decide, please be assured we are certainly not trying to encourage anyone to copy us.
  11. Seriously though,if I didn't read so much about the downside of owning huskies,I would never believe it.Just shows they are all individuals don't you think! Most of the time they are little angels,Wish I could say the same about my 4 kids!
  12. She sounds like one of ours!!.Pretty much like normal dogs!.Never tried to escape, good off leads, and never destroyed anything.Must be related!!
  13. Here is our little fella, aged nearly 8 weeks, with his mum and big sis!!,
  14. Thank you, about to post a vid of him soon!!
  15. Thank you,nice to meet you too!!
  16. Thanks, not bad for the runt!!
  17. You are wise.Nowadays we feel truly outnumbered!! Definitely a dog house!!
  18. Thats what we said and then thought,Uh Oh,that makes 4!!
  19. Thanks, hope you are right. That will mean we will have 2 blue eyed boys in the pack!!
  20. Thank you, what a shame they don't stay that way!!
  21. Thank you,Little being the right word,he was the runt of the litter!!
  22. Thank you, can't believe they stayed there while I ran to get the camera!!
