  1. I'd say go for it, but personally I'd still want to wait just a few months more - Shila learned SO MUCH from my boy (he was 2 1/2 when we got her) and without him we couldn't for example have her walk of lead anywhere safe, and she wouldn't have learned quite some things I'm going from 2-3 soon too, but I have to move first... you're lucky you can simply get a third just like that ^^
  2. well then, I know what to do with my girl next time it snows outside - I'm sure she'll have a very joyful winter, being all happy hunting for herself in the snow
  3. well, can't really add anything more than what has been said, but I have two dogs, male and female. Only my girl is a husky though, and the male is neutered and was there before her. He doesn't get on well with males at all, but my girl doesn't really mind, either is fine with her ^^ I am getting a second female though, because of my male, but since you have two females I guess you'll just have to see which makes your girls feel more comfortable
  4. nope I'll give you a hint, though - Berlin. Now you only have 3.4 million people to look through 8D piece of cake, right? ^^
  5. thanks a lot Nix! well, you know, you can always TRY to come and get her... o.O
  6. umm... no. xD A friend of mine used to own one, but after moving she had to rehome him, and from what she said she wasn't that sorry about it, too. She bought him advertised as a "Purebred" (rubbish), and to be honest, it looked something like a German Shephard with a slightly husky-ish tail and husky colors. Well, just pretty much like a GSD/Husky cross. And about the "hard to train"? Can't agree with that AT ALL. My Girl catches on so fast on everything I want to teach her. Of course, she doesn't just mindlessly execute every command I shoud at her in the blink of an eye 100% every time but honestly- did we all get a husky for the sake of owning a mindless robot, or to have a furbaby companion? >.>
  7. here are some new pictures of my girl Shila, taken recently at our summer house where we'll be spending our summer (Only two weeks to go!) Aaaand we have a shiny new fence now ^^ 'cause the old one just didn't do it with a husky thanks a lot for visiting <3 -Sakura
  8. thanks a lot ^^ I just can't get her to start the twist/weave on her own- when she does, she always goes in from the back, then runs around once around my legs x3 even though I never taught it like that, she just keeps doing it the exact same front way- unless I gesture in the right entering direction silly girl
  9. hey everyone! here are some recent pics of my girl ^^ enjoy, and thanks for looking!~ -Sakura She just loves relaxing on that stone thing when after playing - and it looked so comfortable I had to try it too x3 she's so white she almost looks like a undefined white cloud with the right lighting x3 we were training "Twist" in that picture- walking an eight through my legs. I don't really know why, but she seems to love it ^^ She such a great learner, she catches on super fast, and always wants to keep learning.... of course, having the right treats nearby helps a lot she was a little crazy there- you can see she just managed to rampage my freshly made bed... the "I'm gonna eat youuuu o.o" look and finally...just this morning xD her cute morning face well, have a great day! -sakura
  10. *eyeroll* you can only laugh at those people just do what you feel is best for your girl, if you feel the time you walk her is enough exercise for her, then it's good for her nobody knows your dog better than you do, and as such no one has the right to give such a comment. at 7 months, my girl needed a lot more than 35 minutes, but that was playing around in the meadows/woods, so It was different...and of course, in her case, it wasn't that hot outside ^^
  11. I would say it's too early.... I got my girl at 8 weeks, and I was in touch with the breeder especially during the last two weeks they had her, and she kept me updated on everything... I think she learned so much from these two weeks, especially about the contact with other dogs, and she's got a great character now, which I think also has a lot to do with those two weeks. Do you know the breeder well, and did you inquire about how they handle things? My breeder for example has a huge gallery where you can practically view the pup's life until they came to you...
  12. I'm so happy I got to meet you guys on here <3 Also, It's happened so often that a younger kid would point at my girl and say "Wolf! Wolf!" ^^ I just think it's so cute, and the parents usually stop for a chat after that... well, I'll be heading out for a walk now :3
  13. @Kirbysowner, yup, Sakura is my real name ^^ thanks a lot! I feel like our dogs just socialize US xD I'm so happy to have my girl... I'm a rather timid person usually, so she has helped me get to know people I usually wouldn't have the courage to talk to. (pff Shila's trying to squeeze her big but on my lap, and she keeps trying even though it's failing-silly girl)
