  1. @shadowandnittikas I am taking in the truth , I do however think I am suitable for a husky. I say thank you because 1. Its polite and 2. I am saying thank you for the information and I am building up this information. Please do not question why I keep saying thank you , I am building up information and know what I am going to do. I am still at the point of wondering weather I should buy one. I have this all written down , key things. I have a large back garden with tall 2 m fencing. I have a lot of space and do have time for a dog. Yes it might howl I understand , but it may not. I have found a suitable dog food and have also found out where to buy a husky (not over this forum) what it needs , how long it needs to be walked ect! That is what I am thanking. I mostly joined this forum because I wanted peoples views on having a husky. I think I have found success! And if I do buy a husky then I will care for it the best I can because I care for animals very much! Its a big decision financially so I am taking my time and if I do get a husky I will keep going on this forum , not for me but to help new people who do not have that much experience and do need some help Thanks
  2. Thank you everybody for all your help! I may do a little more research before i decide anything but I am really glad I joined this site thanks
  3. Do Husky Dogs Howl and Bark a lot? I am thinking of buying one and my mum likes her sleep. We had a cockral which woke us all up at 5:00am , will there be problems with howling.I heard that they can the trained not to! thanks for your help
  4. I was thinking of keeping it on a long lead and mike a pole which is attached to the lead and so she can move around foward , back , left , right. And the lead slides on the pole. I know they are escape artist but I had a rabbit for 4 years and it had never escaped , we found dozens of escape attempts. I am sure I have a good secure garden and know what I am going to do. I will make a sort of run or Pen , There is only one door and surrounded by 2 1/2, walls. Thanks Alex , your a really good help
  5. Well for the first month while we have people in the house , but I have a rather larger ally where I keep doves and I was thinking to make it a gate where it could not get out but has quite a bit of space and where the kennel would be. I am not taking him inside the house. I say if they can live outside in Siberia they can live outside in England. I would make it a really nice warm kennel. I would look after it like it was my brother Thanks
  6. No , I would not feed raw and dry at the same time. I was meaning one day Dry the the next raw. Varying so the husky does not get bored with the same diet. I read they have very strict diet rules. I will probably feed Dry food most regularly but maybe raw once a week . Would that work? Oh I have read a lot of good reviews on TOTW. It contains no corn or wheat and the 1st 3 ingredients are meat which I read in an article on this site is the best for a husky and that corn is basically just a filter! thanks
  7. I have on one side (Next to the road about 2 1/2 m fencing on 3 sides of the garden and on one of the sidse about 1 1/2 m , next to the neighbor. I would have to build a gate to keep S/he so they do not go into the neighbors garden. I also have quite a big garden and we do have somebody at home this month so he will be able to be in the garden for the time I am away. I would also have to block up the small homes just incase he tries to dig through or escape. Concrete fence blocks though
  8. Well if I do buy a husky I am thinking to feed a mix of TOTW ( dry food ) and a bit of BARF. I was thinking of feeding a puppy 2 cups a day of TOTW and on some days Barf. (a cup is 100g) Maybe 3 cups if it is needed. thanks
  9. aha , ok I will try that out if possible. Thanks for your advice!
  10. Can anybody tell me the average daily amount of food I should feed a husky of : 8 weeks 6 months 1 year 2 years + I am sorry to be such a pain with so many posts but you have to understand that buying a husky is like having another member of the family and requires a lot of effort and research! Please understand me! thanks for helping
  11. Great Replays , thanks! Your all really helpful! I was thinking of feeding ( hopefully my future Husky) Taste of the Wild - Pacific Stream Canine
  12. Hello , I am thinking of buying a Siberian Husky (AN INCREDIBLE DOG) and need to find out information from actual Husky owners . ( not cross bread , pure husky ) I need to know how much I have to walk them. I have 15 minutes in the morning and about 1-2 hours in the after noon. Is this enough? plus I have decades at the weekend. I was also think of taking him to my local park for walks with my family. I have a Medium/ Large garden good for running about and catching and throwing balls (football too) Is this a good environment for a Husky and Can I get the exercise he needs in the time I have? Thanks for Your Help
  13. Wow , you are are really good help . Thanks
