  1. So I got a Kindle for Christmas But I'm buggered if I can think of any books I want to read.... I got Lee Evans autobiography for crimbo as well (best prezzie, I'm like, in love with the guy!) But I'm seriously needing some more books to read, as ive already finished The Life of Lee :-( Thought id start this thread on good books (hopefully there isn't another thread like this!) I'll start with my fave books: I already have the 'proper books' so there's not much point in me buying them for my kindle 1. The Time Travellers Wife (sorry can't remember who wrote it) 2. My Sisters Keeper - Jodi Picoult 3. The Life of Lee - Lee Evans (seriously, the guy is amazing!) 4. Harry Potter - all of them! 5. The Little White Horse (can't remember who wrote this either) 6. A Child Called It 7. Don't Tell Mummy So I want some recommendations for other good books. Just started reading one called 'An Angel With Fur' but to be honest, I'm not really into it at the min :-/ Might have to read Lee Evans again lol!
  2. Poor Lucy was knackered when she got home
  3. Lucy is my friends new puppy. She is a Jack Russell X Border Terrier, and she is absolutely adorable She is now nearly 12 weeks old, and as she has now had her jabs, we were finally able to introduce her to cookie on her first proper walk kbZ4bI0ZMfY Don't know if the video will work :-/ Just wanted to make it clear that Cookie IS on a lead, you just can't make it out on the pics as it goes a bit blurry because its moving
  4. I can't even find a pic as I have a new phone an they are all on my old one :-( Her hair all stood on end and she ran around the garden with her teeth bared, scared the heck out of me at first lol!
  5. I wouldn't worry, Cookie does that when she plays with other dogs, I put it down to excitement. When we fostered Chaya she did it with her as well, she looked like pure evil incarnate lol
  6. Lol! The Manmat one she is wearing in my pic is the one I have. It's really easy to put on, luckily Over the head and under one leg, easy peasy
  7. I love it because its strong, it gives me peace of mind that it's not ever going to snap and she'll be off. It doesn't loosen and can be used if she runs on the bike as well, which was the main reason for me getting it. It came really quickly, no problems with having to wait months for it. It's easy to put on as well lol, I'm a bit of a div when it comes to wrestling with her to put a harness on
  8. I always thought that was a submissive thing, laying down on the floor?
  9. Aw congrats Richard!! I love her name (it was me that gave the name to Angel) what a lovely way to remember her by She's gorgeous, I have to agree with Nix, those ears are winners!
  10. I'm just gonna smile and nod as if I knew what that meant
  11. All employees planning to dash through the snow in a one horse open sleigh, going over the fields and laughing all the way are advised that a Risk Assessment will be required addressing the safety of an open sleigh for members of the public. This assessment must also consider whether it is appropriate to use only one horse for such a venture, particularly where there are multiple passengers. Please note that permission must also be obtained in writing from landowners before their fields may be entered. To avoid offending those not participating in celebrations, we would request that laughter is moderate only and not loud enough to be considered a noise nuisance. Benches, stools and orthopaedic chairs are now available for collection by any shepherds planning or required to watch their flocks at night. While provision has also been made for remote monitoring of flocks by CCTV cameras from a centrally heated shepherd observation hut, all users of this facility are reminded that an emergency response plan must be submitted to account for known risks to the flocks. The angel of the Lord is additionally reminded that, prior to shining his/her glory all around, s/he must confirm that all shepherds are wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to account for the harmful effects of UVA, UVB and the overwhelming effects of Glory. Following last years well-publicised case, everyone is advised that Equal Opportunities legislation prohibits any comment with regard to the redness of any part of Mr R Reindeer. Further to this, exclusion of Mr R Reindeer from reindeer games will be considered discriminatory and disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty of this offence. While it is acknowledged that gift bearing is a common practice in various parts of the world, particularly the Orient, everyone is reminded that the bearing of gifts is subject to Hospitality Guidelines and all gifts must be registered. This applies regardless of the individual, even royal personages. It is particularly noted that direct gifts of currency or gold are specifically precluded, while caution is advised regarding other common gifts such as aromatic resins that may evoke allergic reactions. Finally, in the recent instance of the infant found tucked up in a manger without any crib for a bed, Social Services have been advised and will be arriving shortly.
  12. As the girl who did the homecheck yesterday, let me assure you that he is going to a brilliant foster home I'm quite choosy, and I would never pass anyone if I didn't feel comfortable leaving my own dog Cookie there.
  13. Can you not maybe put a muzzle on him for a while till he settles in a bit and has a good sniff of them all and worked them out a bit? Then take it off? Or introduce them all slowly and separately so he's not a bit overwhelmed. Sorry, dont mean that to sound patronising, I'm sure you've tried that already lol just can't think of anything else to suggest
