Hello and welcome to the pack.. glad to have you... well her growl is a warning to the other dogs. she doesn't want to make friends... the nose from your males is a sign of interest. they want to know her, but she doesn't want to know them.. and No you didn't pick the wrong dog. I would suggest correcting her when she growls with a firm touch, if she is worse with them around you than she is partial to you.. You should show her that they are not going to do any harm to her. Remember when you bring a new dog home, they are entering your space, not the other way around... she is unsure about the area, so most likely nervous. She just needs some leadership.. and i wouldn't pet her and tell her "oh its ok baby" when she is growling. then you are promoting bad behavior. and walking them with her is good.. try and walk with a partner and take the two males in front and the female behind and try and see if she will smell them. and bout her food aggression problem.. you cant be afraid.. you need to stay calm.. the more afraid you are of the situation the worse the situation will get.. I don't know if you watch Cesar Millan but in Season 5, Episode 6 with Hyda & Vada, He does a great demonstration of how to control food aggression. But in this episode he is dealing with a wolf hybrid. I believe the episode is called Born to be wild. I tried to find it but i couldn't. Hope this helps.

They say that they wont.. bu my uncle in arizona has three and someone was trying to brake into his jeep and they went crazy trying to get out and get the intruder. Now my mail klutch is very protective. He got it from his dad.. their was a verizon maintanence worker walking in the breeze way behind my house and he went crazy at the fence.. and he is very alurt. But to be honest.. any animal, if you are under attack.. they can sence your fear, and will feed off of that.. they dont think... they just react. So my beliefe is YES they will protect you. I have never been in a situation to find it out, but im sure mine would to.....

Hello and welcome. When we first got My'a (our female) i guess we were lucky. we had no problems with her. but then again our dogs arent inside. but they would sleep in their crates outside in the begining. but you can bet your but they were scratching and making a fuss in the crate at 6 in the morning. And yes puppy dutie is a pain in the tookous, but it helps very much.. also i have a litter of six beautifull puppies right now and their 5 weeks old. and they all sleep in a crate. I was reading up on some information and it said that when they get four weeks they should be sleeping an a seperate area in a crate.. that it will be a major help to the new owner for crate training later on in life... granit their is no door on the crate.. but they love being in it... and when i put them in another crate to clean the whelping area.. they are just fine as well.... good luck. theirs a lot of good info on here. i prob wasnt much help but wanted to tell my story..

No not keeping any this litter.. i have had three people call me about the puppies today.. and two in the same hour.. but everyone keeps asking me if i will negotiate the price.. untill the last person called.. she didnt say anything about the price.. she just wanted to see the puppies.. now thats someone i want to sell to....

ok day four.... she has all the umbilical cords off... good girl My'a! we her in the pin for a few hours and let the pups feed and sleep... than put her out for an hour so she can rest and go poddy.... My mother in law bought her a sweet new bed, and the pups and My'a love it.. ill put pix up in a sec.. gotta put them on the computer first...

ok so it is twelve thirty and i am still up in the pin helping my'a feed the pups cause she is so exhausted. we left to get them a heater and we came home and my'a had pooped all inside the pin. ok so we pull everything away and clean it up..... well we bring her back inside and she is acting REALLY weard... then all of a sudden i am sitting in the pin with her and she pukes all over the place..... (big sigh) ok move the pups and clean up the puke, (and stop my'a from trying to eat it). Then i walk for an hour and she is still throwing up... well come to find out.. she ate her poop, and her stomach did not agree!! Dang girl!!! so i take her around more.. get her to drink a lil bit of water. and she throws up more... ok walk a lil more....... Drink more..... This time, she holds it in... Now i take her to the back yard.. and she drinks alot of cold cold water.. and she wont come away from it... and sure enough she throws it up again.... so i go inside to defrost a bit.. now i come back out and she is waiting for me at the gate. I walk out their and she drinks more water........... throws up just a tiny bit, and goes and lays in the dog house.... (she is ready to come in). I bring her in and she is whineing for the pups... i put her in the pin and put the pups to the nipples and she is in heaven once again.. then after about fifteen mins of struggling pups. i pull three off and leave three on... then fifteen mins later.. i pull three off and put three on.. fifteen mins go by and i get out of the pin, and leave her to her pups.. and now...................... she is sleeping like an angel with all six pups on her side.. "Thank you lord, for helping me through and keeping my'a safe."

Yes he is the one next to her.. that last picture was a play date we had with Droopy (left on platform) and Mika (right on Platform) and droopy is the daddies brother... thank you for the comments i will try and keep you updated..

My'a delivered six beautifull puppies on February 25, 2012 at 4:00pm. No complications. We jotted down what was going on during the delivery.. Puppy #1 3:56pm white spot on the back his neck. Black mask, white blaze, white eyebrow markings. BOY Puppy #2 4:17pm More grey than black. White blaze, dark mask. GIRL Puppy #3 4:37pm Lightest grey, white blaze, Black, Grey and white. BOY Puppy #4 5:55pm Very light grey white blaze. Same mask. GIRL Puppy #5 7:19pm Black and white mask. looks like stud. GIRL Puppy #6 8:19pm Black and white mask. white blaze. BOY
