  1. Hello! We're having a problem with Taz hiding his food. He's on a raw diet now, and lately he has been trying to hide his food in his kennel. We leave a towel in his kennel for him to sleep in, and he hides it under the towel. We feed him in the kitchen, but he has been bringing his food inside his kennel, which is inside our room. I also noticed that he's been eating his food a lot slower than he used to. Does the cold have something to do with this behavior? And how do we stop it? Pls help! >.<
  2. Hi! My friend might be bringing in a one year old husky, and she's wondering if it might be too late to change the dog's diet to raw from kibble. Or can she move the husky on to raw slowly over a week? Thanks.
  3. Thank you!! We are definitely going to continue and stay consistent with his training. We might do shows. But I know my husband wants to train him as a search and rescue dog later on.
  4. pxrdl40t2WM 1uMk6VRQgQ4 I changed the videos to youtube so that everyone can see them. The first thread didn't work out so well... Enjoy! =D This is Taz at 14 weeks old. He's doing really good with his training and my husband and I are so proud of him!!! It takes a lot of hard and consistent work, and man it pays off! He'll be graduating his puppy class pretty soon! =]
  5. Wow that is so scary! I would be scared to death too! Luckily we haven't experienced any of that as of yet. I try to be as careful as possible. Did your pup become scared of other dogs after that experience?
  6. Okay, I have now changed it to youtube. It should work. Enjoy! =D
  7. Okay, I'm probably going to delete this one and post one up using youtube. Hopefully that works!
  8. Okay, I've just changed the settings. Hopefully you can see it now. >.<
  9. Oh no! Ummm.... do you have any idea how I can change it so that everyone can see?
  10. Oh, ok! I'm gonna go shopping tomorrow so I'm definitely going to buy different meats, fruits, and veggies.... as for offal, I'm going to have to find a butcher around my area and give that once a week. Btw, are there certain veggies and fruits I should stay away from? Thank you!

  12. Okay, so Taz is now 14 weeks old and is doing great on the raw food diet. For about a week now, my husband and I have started to feed him chicken drumsticks while holding it. That way, he is chewing his food and working his jaw. We used to cut up his food, and even if we left large chunks, he would just tear it up into two pieces and GULP! Yes, he has bit us a couple of times on accident, but we just yelp and he backs off and sits (so cute!) So far, we have only been feeding him chicken and turkey. We're not quite sure on when to start adding in offal and red meat.... please help? Also, my husband and I are thinking about adding in multivitamin wafers, just as a supplement.
  13. Haha! It's okay. Yeah, Taz ended up with one brown and one blue eye. Actually the blue eye has a little bit of brown in it. Hopefully it stays that way. My husband likes it. Hehe.
  14. UPDATES ON TAZ'S GROWTH:: Taz at 7 weeks: Taz at 8 weeks: Taz at 9 weeks: And finally at 10 weeks: So, Taz is now 10 weeks old and is growing so beautifully!!! As much as we want him to stay young and cute (hehe!) we are looking forward to see him grow and grow with us. We love him so much!
  15. UPDATE: So Taz is now on a full raw diet. So far, all I'm feeding him chicken - wings and thighs. I've been feeding him 1 drumstick every four hours for four times a day. And he is doing wonderful! I first started with kibble 3 times then 1 wing (minced) at his last meal. Then moved on to less kibble and more chicken until his stomach became used to the change. We did this over a week, and doing it slowly made sure that he didn't have any diarrhea problems. His poops came out good - a bit soft at first then it became harder. We didn't have any diarrhea problems. He seems to be growing up so beautifully and his breath doesn't smell bad anymore as he used to when we fed him kibble. His coat is also growing beautifully! =D He loves his food! Also, he doesn't spit up his food anymore as he used to with kibble. Overall, my husband and I have to say that we are so happy that we moved on to raw! Surprisingly, our dog trainer agreed with us that raw diet is the best way to go! It's so surprising because everywhere else we go, pretty much everyone disagrees with us. I only have one problem - Taz INHALES his food! How do I stop him from eating too fast?? The only time he did spit up the chicken, I believe, is because he ate it too fast. When it came out, the chicken seemed like it never even got eaten. It seems like he doesn't chew the food. And my husband and I cut the chicken into small pieces. Any suggestions?
