  1. aw, that poor baby =( Glad he's better now. beautiful boy. and poor you! Too much worry/too many trips to the vet in one day for any one person.
  2. I thought about the DNA test, but I was like naaah, it doesn't really matter, just one of those things, lol. Im not sure what a Whippet is...is it like a greyhound? arent very many of those running lose around here, nothing is impossible though lol
  3. I use both for mine. Stryder doesnt like walking with his collar, he doesnt mind it most times, but if you try to take him for a walk he does this thing where he tries to pull backwards to slip out, which i'm afraid of him succeeding at. So he wears it for his tags/short walks (IE potty breaks outside), and a harness when we go somewhere that I want to be sure he cant slip out. For his daily walks he's on a no-pull harness while he leash trains. he walks fabulously on it
  4. So sad. I'm very sorry for your loss
  5. Unfortunately I havent got any other pictures, she's one of those dogs who as soon as you snap a picture, she moves and blurs it, and the camera on my phone is poo, lol. She hasn't always had the white hairs on her muzzle, she's developed them with age. She's small, smaller than Stryder (husky), he's just under 5 months. Her personality is...well I dunno, she's a little hyper, has a high energy type personality but actually prefers to just laze around (though that could be age I guess?). She's very protective, does rounds of the house at night, checking all the doors and windows, and alerts at any sight/sound she finds out of place. She is spayed, and has been since the vet suggested it after she had an accident at a couple years old (door dashed and decided to play chicken with a pick up truck, the pick up truck won, fractured her pelvis). My mother is convinced she's part boxer on account of the boxer they had in the neighborhood, but I honestly dont see it at all in her
  6. I think it's utterly atrocious and negligent. I don't agree with the use of shock collars, but to each his own. I think everyone has the right to chose the best method of training for their animal, as long as they do it responsibly, without being judged, as long as no harm comes to either. But the fact that this kennel chose to do it without the consent of the owners, and then were so negligent that they FORGOT the collar on the dog, and allowed the animal to become injured, is pretty much unforgivable for "professionals" (or anyone for that matter). ANY business that is so careless towards the customers wishes/property needs to have their a** handed to them, in my opinion. Now my sister works for a vet clinic that also boards animals, and they are awesome to their clients dogs/cats, so I'm not saying ALL kennels are bad. We can't punish the many for the sins of the few. Just that this one was horribly irresponsible, and should at the very least refund the money and pay all the vet bills incurred from their negligence.
  7. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post YouTube links, and I'm sorry if I'm not, I wasn't sure ... but I thought this was worth a look. I can't believe some people have this kind of nerve. If this were my dog I'd be livid, and they'd have a lawsuit on their hands Dog injured by bark collar at kennel http://youtu.be/rIrdcXdfT2A
