Fab! Thank you for the tip. We've looked in to flights & its a few hundred quid cheaper to fly in to LA than Vegas or Phoenix so I think we might just have to accept the long drive & head to the grand canyon first!

Not if I'm just wearing a tshirt underneath but I just wear a tshirt and a jumper underneath and I'm toasty! Obviously I haven't had it for a full winter yet but because it keeps me completely dry it means i stay toasty! That and running around with the furkid!!

Actually, it's not massively warm on it's own but because it's waterproof you can wear a snuggly jumper underneath and have no worries that it's going to end up soggy!

I suffered all of last winter...and all of our useless British summer, in a windproof but certainly not waterproof sailing jacket. Well, my lovely other half bought me a new jacket and I LOVE IT!!! I would fully recommend it to any dog walker! It's slightly longer than a standard coat so keeps the top of your legs & bum dry, the hood has a proper peak so your head and face is sheltered...big bonus when you wear glasses and are rendered virtually blind when rain beads on your specs! And the best part? The silly wotsits have guaranteed it 100% waterproof for 3 years!! So if it does happen to leak in that time I get a brand new coat! YAY! Luna is well use to her crate but she never goes in without atleast an hour's walk, complete with games & as much doggy interaction as we come across. Doesn't matter what the weather is doing, we walk in it

We are now going in June, to avoid the snow in Sequoia .... we're packing hiking boots so we can go for some fab treks but do I need to be worried about big scary fluffies...aka Grizzly bears/wolves/yeti....

I am so fricking excited to be going to America....I've only ever been abroad twice, once to Spain and once to Corfu...neither of which were huge adventures..more lying on the beach!
