Thanks all.....I've been watching loads of vids of dogs pulling and it amazes me how they follow the gee and haw instructions so well! Especially at things like forks in the road......I hope my boy can pick it up

Ok so just checking I'm doing is right....I've just started with gee and haw training, nicko is facing me and I'm getting him to touch my hands with his nose and giving him a treat when he gets it right. Am I on the right track? Will he get confused when he has to do it facing away from me?...what is the next step I need to take? Thanks!

YAAAAY! My Walkydog is here but BOOOOO.....Nicko needs a new harness and I need a bike helmet before we can use it

I will hold off using it then until I can afford a new harness for him just to make sure. The one ive got doesnt go onto his neck at all but the rings come up behind his neck....will keep that one for walkies

If I need him to have a back ring then i will def need a new one, I will post a pic of him in his current harness laster when its time for walkies so you can see what ive got already if thats ok?

Ive just ordered one of these, just wondered if i need a particular type of harness? nickos is padded and the connector part comes up behind his shoulders (nothing round his neck). Just wondering cause when ive seen pics of other harnesses the connector bit is at the back....presume thats for pulling in front though?

Sooo ive started teaching Nicko gee and haw (touching the correct hand with his nose). He seems to be picking it up really quickly! Our training sessions dont last long tho cause he gets all excited n jumps about all over the place lol
