1. This is an oldish picture and doesnt show any of my barricading i put in place to stop them pushing cage back (which has worked for 15months) and I know the cushion is kind of blocking the board i have in place but you can still kind of see it against the far wall protecting the phone line... Im just going to have to try barricading the cage against the archway a little more...
2. I have more babygates around the house like on stairs etc... But this is just an awkward position, as the main telephone connector is just on the kitchen wall, and it has a wire mesh and wooden board over it (learnt my lesson when they chewed through it about a year ago) But to have a babygate in replace of the cage is going to be awkward as i will have to sacrifice the board protecting the telephone connection. I tried barricading the cage with some stuff on the living room side, but working together they managed to nudge it a couple inches and thats all they needed, once they had a sniff of a gap I had no chance...
3. Well it seems like Togo and Maya have realised that if they work together, they can escape the kitchen... Basically I dont have a door between Kitchen and Living room (just an archway) and when i go out, they get put in the kitchen and an open cage is places in the doorway to fill the gap and I have a babygate half way up the wall, which stops them jumping over the cage.. For like 15months this has worked... But the last few days I have come home to find them laying on the sofa, so Today i pretended to go out but kept a sneaky look at them, and by pushing together in one corner, they can make a gap between cage and wall, only a small one but they both squeeze through. Teamwork... DOH!!!! Now i have the dilema of do I even try and keep them in the kitchen when i go to work now, seen as though they are escaping very quickly... Problem being, previously when they escaped the kitchen (3 months ago was the last time) I came home and had a sofa cushion shredded and spread across the front room... But the last 3 days that they have been escaping, they have not touched anything at all, nothing has been damamged... Argh.... haha
4. Colouring is slightly similar, more so in the pattern rather than colour.. I been trying to take some pics of him but he either doesnt stand stil or when he does, Maya will jump up and try grab his neck to play lol... I managed another 2, but in every pic he looks different haha, Loki is a stunning dog btw
5. He didnt come from Cumbria, So i wouldnt be able to tell you if there are any elkhound where he came from, I have never seen an Elk Hound in this area where I am from though so I dont really know anythng about ElkHounds
6. Bear looks gorgeous... And when i was typing the post, and i mentionned others on the forum, i was going to type the name BEar, but ive been away for a bit and i wasnt 100% haha... But when i first saw Bear i noticed the similarities, and I know i will probbaly never get an answer, i just thought i would see what other people thought because to be honet, im rubbish with breeds lol (im the same with cars hahaha).. And things are getting onn track now kind of, its just been an ajustment, but i been having fun catching up on all the topics etc ive missed since ive been away
7. Some more Gold medals for Team GB today which hs been good, Sir Chris Hoy winning his 5th Olympic Gold Medal, I dont think (Sir-to-be) Brad Wiggins greatest british olympian record will survive these games... Shame about the Team GB Female Team Sprint tea being disqualified at the take over, and it seems a silly rule as how can they be expected to see a tiny mark of tape on the floor going that speed off the corner, and then the China team who won the Gold Medal then go and get dsqualfied and relegated to Silver because of the same error.... This is the same error that cost 4 teams at the World championships and they seriously need to look at putting a more visible mark at where they can start the take over.... This cost Team Gb a guaranteed Silver and possible Gold and definatly cost China a Gold medal. The whole badminton fiasco caused alot of news etc.. I can kind of see it from both sides, the fact that they have done the draw using grups etc meant that teams from the same country did want to avoid each other and perhaps not finish first in the group but second to allow them an easier run to the final... But then I can see the committee's point of iew, where they did turn it int a fiasco by deliveratly serving into the net etc to lose, is against the olympic spirit in that they wernt trying their hardest to win. ITs a case of Tactics or 'Good viewing' i guess...
8. Well, ever since we got Togo when he was 8 weeks old, we have been curious at what mix of breed he could be, Ive poste stories on here before about how we got hi when searching for a male husky, as someone was going to give him to a shelter as they wanted a husky but didnt like how he looked, so my OH (well, ex gf now) brought him home and said we would keep him as she loved him... He is now 13 months old ad stands at around 23.5" and weighs around 30KGs.. Its doesnt bother me what breed he is, as they are both my babies, (It has been hard sice me and OH split, but we have adjusted to life, just being the 3 of us now this is why i havnt really been on these forums much for 2 months or so now, as it has been an adjustment and not had much time for the internet with working alot and speding all my free time with my 2 dogs, no social life, but im happy and so are they which is most important thing) But its always a curious subject and am curious what other people think, as I have seen one or two other dogs on these forums that look similar in colourings etc and stature to Togo, so its always been a curiosity of mine. Anyways, here are some pictures, from when he was younger to newer ones, he doesnt stand still very long, so hard to get good picture haha BTW, Togo isnt the White one, that is Maya
9. I had a website saved etc on my computer to get fle and worming tablets etc from as was cheaper than vets, but i honestly cant remember it and my laptop died a few weeks ago.... Where is the best place to get them from and what would you guys recommend as best brand as need to get some ordered
10. It took Togo until he was about 6months until he would freely pee on walks etc but now he cocks his leg and marks every tree or bush we pass on our walks, its almost OCD like hahaha
11. Great pics... Never mind the roses, im jelous of your grass hahahaha
12. I was just messing around with the new Samsung Galaxy s3 nd it has a good burst picture option... Definatly gonna get some good non blurry action pictures now
13. Haha, every time someone comes round my house, they always seem to prefer Maya... I try them she isnt as innocent as she looks, she is usually the instigator... Now i have proof hahaha Innocent: I Think NOT:
14. I put her on the sofa wen she wasnt looking comfortable on the floor... she hasnt moved since... Think am gonna be spending the night downstairs with them tonight just to keep them right... I actually took couple days off work to look after her lol
