that's lovely - very impressive.

I have a 1 a 2 and 3 yr old and without the training collars I use (radius up to 1 mile) none of them are 100% reliable off lead. Storm my middle (Mummys boy ) is the most reliable but even he catches a sniff on a breeze and if it takes his interest - I am underno illusion he'd be gone too. However, with these aids I always have them off lead as I know I can keep them safe 100% of the time - but admittedly I never set them up to fail this % - I am still extremely cautious and prefer being in familiar surroundings or have a good focal view before I will feel that confident enough to let them off lead. Sorry, I couldn't really answer the poll for myself as I cheat but would be really interested in the results - esp in the younger huskies owners responses - as I have seen one my dogs run off at approx 9 months (reliable till that point) - thankfully in a v large enclosed area - but they didn't know that.....if not enclosed they'd be gone - hence the training aids. I won't risk my furbabies safety for anything. :lovebone:

So so sweet. We had a chap used to work for us several years ago (he was 70 yrs old and still going very very strong. He used to be a Commando during the war - in the office he was affectionately known as Commando Ken because he used to tell us his war stories. Yeah I know - we didn't have much imagination... A truly lovely lovely man. One day he told me that his wife was the love of his life and his soul and that he had kept a cyanide capsule from the war hidden in his loft so that if she ever died before him he would take it as he could not breathe without her.... this was about 15 years ago - I cannot bear to ask about him......

Yep I watched a little and then they took this poor staffie mix out in a cold wet alleyway to inject him -then I switched it off - as far as I can ascertain he hadn't even done anything to anyone.... the owners shoudl never have had a dog in the first place - they should screen ALL potential dog owners not just those who take on rescues....
