  1. Awe he is sooo cute:). Yes Ive been told they are of a sweet nature and from what everyone has told me about this boy he is definately true to type. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you xxx
  2. Now I am very gelous;)...they are fab!!!! xx
  3. We are off for a walk and a meet in the park with my friend at the weekend....I am sure the walk will be fine as both are passive, but I dread bringing him home one day to find she is devastated to have to share the house...and my attention...she is a diva when it comes to mummys attention we are a family of 6, but when I go out of her sight she runs looking for me, and will cry if I go out or upstairs(gate locked) even if she is in a room with my partner and 4 kids .
  4. I have a 11wk old husky pup and have been asked by a friend to take on a adult Samoyed, that is currently in a bad situation. I hadn't planned for another dog but this loveable gentle boy needs rehoming and asap. He is full pedigree kc reg, unknown age untill I see papers, entire and vac and healthy. I am taking him out at the weekend and introducing him to the pup. Anyone have the breed on here? Does anyone have any advice on introducing the dog to my puppy. She is my baby and has a very strong bond...last thing I want is to put her nose out of joint!!!! I may have to take this boy in and rehome...or if things turn out great he can stay:). Any advice before I end up making a mistake? There are so many unwanted dogs around, this boy is getting neglected and hurt, and I cant sit back and do nothing.

    Homecoming

    GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! ....double trouble lol!!! xx
  6. You make me want to get a bigger crate It looks comfy!!! And your new baby is really stunning!!!!!!!!!
  7. Thank you all for your advice. Things just fell in to place, I still sleep on the sofa with her, but Im happy and she is too I made her a new bed which she loves, toilet training is down to the odd accident.......but most of all, someone said to me, how could I doubt myself when she so obviously sees me as her leader, she does everything I say, (when I dont nagg......which was what I was doing on this guys advice!!!-see 1st posting-NOT quote above-I agree with everything becs put!!!)....and looks to me for direction. I think I have it sorted now as she is bright as a button and picks it all up so quickly. I was having a bad day thanks to listening too much to advice and having little faith in myself. That is a key Ive learnt....have faith in yourself....you know your dog better than anyone and the advice you get has to be tailored. I thank everyone on here as their advice is brilliant, and mostly everyone fills you with confidence.....so thanks guys!!!! xx

    the puppy

This is my 1st apempt at uploading a picture....so here it goes:confused:
  10. Awe they are gorgeous....I very nearly brought Anouks brother home too.....but I have never owned a dog before so taking home 2 husky pups may have been asking for trouble lol!!
  11. She is 9wks. I dont mind her on the sofa, being upstairs in bed wouldnt work....we are a family of 6 with 2 cats too lol. But I am happy to allow her to sleep on the sofa and I do want her using her bed:)
  12. I have had a bit of battle of wills with my pup today:oops: I was given some advice from a dog trainer that came to the house recently(feed supplier). He came in and asked why the pup was asleep on the sofa and not in her bed. Well firstly I had only purchased a bed the day before. We had tried crate training but she just used it for a toilet as the door was open all day. This was no good as toilet training was going brilliantly ,we had found her spot and would go with me and when asked to go would:). When she would get caught short or I missed that she needed the toilet she would go in the crate. My next plan was to get her a bed and get her used to it and get myself a full size crate and put her bed in it. I am not bothered in the slightest that she sleeps on the sofa or floor. Ive been sleeping downstairs to ensure she is supervised should she wake, atm she wakes we go out and she goes back to sleep until 4.30/5am when we get up. The advice I was given....1. .under no circumstance should the dog sleep where the pack leader sleeps. So I am not to allow her upstairs and I should not be on the sofa sleeping. 2. She is not to go on the sofa unless I ask her on......and I should make her sleep in her bed at all times. So yesterday I dis allowed the sofa and persevered with the bed. She was really good....spending all night in her bed and with me on the sofa. We have always had a great relationship, she listens to everything I say and does it no arguing. Today she has been defiant....Ive asked her to go to bed and she refuses. laying down on the floor. I have had to keep at her and she has got fed up of it Im sure, she then refused to do the toilet routien....to be honest its just been a battle of wills.....to the point of her snapping at me when I went to get her collar to which I taped her nose and yelled NO. She has then come into the living room and slept anywhere but her bed...even behind the sofa:(. Im truely gutted and dont want to loose our bond!!!..........I dont know a thing about training, but I want to get it right....but so much is conflicting advice. I am happy for her to sleep on the floor/sofa/crate/her bed. I do understand the importance of getting her to use her bed so that it goes in the crate and is safe when I go to bed, and I will persevier and hopefully she will be fine as I see her maturing and loosing the upset of being left alone. I dont want to be to soft. Is the adviice I recieved right? Do I just insist she sleeps only in her bed?
  13. Yay!!! She had some burnt toast crumbs, then I left her for a little while before I gave her a small amount of her food all mashed with hot water, Ive done this all day and the monkey is now trashing the house in her usual fashion.....happy happy:yahoo: So thank you all.......don't know how Id cope without you....best support team ever:)
  14. Ive had her a week exactly. We got her at 7weeks after her vacs and the all clear from the vet for us to bring her home. She has done brilliant till tonight in every way:). I really looked into what breed I wanted and have waited 5yrs to get her as believed my children were too young. Ive never owned a dog before, and have watched far too many vetinary programmes on puppy problems that I have become a worrier:eek:
