Nope, no where to transfer to...unless I move across state or to another state.

Thank you all, venting it out really seems to have helped sooth the soul. I can't imagine where I'm going to go or what I'm going to do now if this doesn't end well for me. I love our house and all we've built here, and can't imagine leaving my volunteer department. I have the backing of all the people I have had the pleasure of working with both on the ambulance side (where I was fired from) as well as the fire side (where I still work). I had high ambitions of continuing my ambulance career and was even looking at further schooling to get my paramedic certification, but now without another ambulance company in the area to work for I don't know if that is still in my cards. I guess for now I'm going to focus on some self improvement so I can be more competitive the next time a paid fire position opens in the area.

bell charms are for cats, not husky puppies. If you are worried about finding your puppy in your house attach a leash to her and don't let her out of your sight or limit her space with gates.

Most of my adults are in 36", Denali prefers a 42" due to his length of body and unwillingness to curl into the standard husky ball.

We feed all 11 of ours Taste of the Wild, completely happy with the food and is balanced enough to keep everyone in top condition no matter what we're doing with them.

Though my new puppy girls have been the greatest distraction in my life....I suddenly realize my life as I knew it is most likely effectively over. I have a pending meeting with my former bosses to beg one last effort to get my job back, but everyone is telling me it doesn't look at all good for me. Closing in on 30, here I go having to start completely over in my professional life. The problem is I LOVED what I did and wanted to make that my life long career. I could have seen myself advancing through the ranks and becoming one of the really good ones in my field...unfortunately working with a certain backstabbing *insert profanity here* has destroyed that ambition. I told the truth and was branded an untrustworthy liar and disgraced. I don't know what it is I'm supposed to do now. I know they say everything happens for a reason and that one door closes so something better can come your way. But I don't exactly see what could be better than my dreams that were. How do I pick myself up from what seems to be the lowest of the low?

Kangaroo leather leads are by far the best, not a big fan of the nylon chords and certainly not a delicate beaded lead for a starting out dog....wait until you have a specialty dog for those and one that is trained to the ring. I usually buy mine directly at the show grounds so I can see, feel, and measure properly to my dog. But if I order I always order from 3c's www.3cdog.com

More pack introductions for the girls! *pic heavy*

Thanks all! -
Standing is fine, learning how to properly stack a dog is another, I'd strongly suggest a handling class for both your benefit as well as her's. Teaching her how to gait is another more important aspect of dog showing. A dog can look pretty standing still but have horrible improper movement stemming from structural problems or even the handler.

Thanks all, they have been having so much fun meeting everyone and giving me a lot of good pics -
I do it for my dogs, mainly because I couldn't fathom how much it would cost treating the size of the pack I have....but also my dogs are exposed to all sorts of things at the dog shows, better to be protected from what I can protect them from than leave them totally exposed in my opinion.

How much have you been working on her ring etiquette? Ideally they should start showing at 4-6months of age to get them used to the handling and expectations. Start with a cheaper leather lead and invest in the show collar metal snake chain preferred. If you are already going to the show grounds to watch you can usually find something you can purchase there vs trying to figure out what you think you'll need off of photos online.

Thanks all!! Have to say the girls are doing amazingly well adjusting to everyone and everyone to them as well -
No she's not one of mine, but she is a half sibling to my Denali and shares a lot of lineage with my girls Enya and Kenna on their mother's side

Kennel floor..pea gravel?bark mulch or washed rock?
HuskyMom09 replied to Michelle Melsom's topic in Husky General
That's where mine are too, it was the best place to put mine as well! I disinfect every other week with a light bleach solution and find that it keeps the kennels very sanitary and odor free.
