  1. We think Enya is going to most likely have the coloration of their father and Kenna is going to be darker like grandpa Drifter
  2. True, now just to decide where to hike! There are a lot of DNR trails out around my house, but you hardly run into anyone out there and no ranger stations :/
  3. I don't think there is an age limit on the requirements....I'm interested in getting the titles on my purebreds (even the pets) but the two trips over 10 miles in a day scare me LOL
  4. Drivers at dog shows have been some of the worst I've been around, talk about distracted drivers!! This same lady who was driving in his accident found herself in another fender bender at the show grounds this year, woman on a cell phone sped right out without looking and hit her. Ugh! Luckily no injuries just damaged cars.
  5. Yeah the car he was in leaving the show was rear ended hard, the driver and passenger were both injured as well but they say if the dogs hadn't been crated they would have died.
  6. He is amazing in person too! He's out on the show circuit again hoping to obtain his last couple points toward his CH, he was in a very bad car accident right after that show photo was taken and it took him a while to trust being in a car again.
  7. When I met Starry she was already a few weeks pregnant with my girls' litter and looking very 'mommy like', it was nice to be able to get these pics of her from her conditioned show days
  8. These are the parents of my 2 lovely girls, and Tiko is further back in my Denali's lineage as well. Sire- AKC Pointed Galena Creek's Dream Keeper 'Tiko' Dam- CAN/UKC CH AKC Pointed Ziembora's Song of the South 'Starry'

    How old?

I agree I still think the chart is off. Says Denali is 20, but he acts like a bratty teenager
  10. Thanks everyone Glad you like the pics
  11. Any reputable breeder would have the paperwork filed neatly and easily located. The paperwork including Hip Scores, Eye Certifications, Burcelosis results, and 5 generation pedigrees of BOTH parents should be made accessible to the prospective buyer. IF these documents are not available a web site such as CERF and PawVillage should be provided to verify lineage and minimal testing results. Without these documens how can you be certain you are getting what you paid for? I'd walk away and never look back....puppies are cute but they can come with a world of long term health issues without proper care and responsibility that starts with the breeder.
  12. Yeah with 11 dogs there was bound to be a repeat The job market is still rough here but we were lucky! But you be sure I'll be posting a ton of pics of the kids as they grow and integrate to our existing pack!
  13. Kenna and Enya Dakota and Juneau Tikaani and Riley Aspen and Denali Rockie and Timber Diamond and Denali Sorry for the repeat of Denali, with 11 dogs I knew there was going to be a repeater
  14. I'm watching for the competition of the month to pop up Hope to enter this month!!
  15. Thank you so much! I have been having such a blast with these little furballs Glad everyone else is enjoying them too
  16. LOL, I can understand what everyone else is going through! Before we got our girls, before they were even born seeing everyone with their puppy pictures was TORTURE! Sorry for torturing everyone else, but just had to share
  17. Well it's day 2 and I think the girls are settling in very well, they had a rambunctious play day in the kennel run once things cooled off outside
  18. Thanks! She's amazing, she's out with handler Soni Jager (pictured above) and with these 3 BOB wins in Redmond and 2 more last weekend puts her ranked #7 in the US!
  19. I'd have to say it was quite a weekend for miss GCH-CH Kaniska's Kauz for Kamotion at Talkeetna! 3 days BOB and 2 Group 2 placements and a Group 4 placement! VERY proud of our half-sister!
  20. Be patient, he sounds like a pup that didn't get much human contact at the breeders and is indifferent to people and not crate trained at all...not too uncommon really when you consider the caliber of far too many people who consider themselves breeders. He will eventually settle in to his new surroundings, often they won't eat much until they feel secure but he will associate you as protectors and people that love him as he becomes more adjusted. Instead of constantly yelling at him perhaps try bitter apple spray on things you don't want him chewing on, I can tell you it's already saved me my dining room chairs from my two girls (also 8 weeks).
  21. Ask questions! Don't be afraid to ask how many breeding males and females they have, how many litters they produce each year, what kind of health clearances they have done, want to look at pedigrees and health test results (originals not copies), ask what they do with their dogs are they just pets that breed all the time or are they into showing, sledding, weight pulling etc. Tour their kennels if possible, a nice website can be hiding a bad BYB or puppy mill!! Contact them at different parts of the year and see how many litters they have, poor breeders often have puppies available year round vs. breeders that plan their litters. Expect them to know the breed enough to be questioning you as well! Expect them to answer all of your questions knowledgeably and completely, they start dodging answering any of your questions walk on.
  22. Thank you all for your posts! The girls are doing amazingly and I can't wait until they have all of their vaccinations so we can take them places with us Will be sharing lots more pics as they grow!
  23. No woolies here, the red will have a slightly plumier coat like her father but will remain within standard, the grey once the puppy coat sheds out will have a standard coat most likely like her mother which is a shorter racing style.
  24. These are our newest members of the family- Galena Creek's Shes On Fire At Keahi (Enya) Red Female Galena Creek's Born Of Fire At Keahi (Kenna) Grey Female
